Abstract:
A laser scanner control circuit which is used for an apparatus for scanning onto a photo sensitive material by a laser beam and forming and image thereon is constructed as a monolithic driver IC onto a single chip. A reset circuit is provided for a sample-hold circuit so as to minimize the laser power when the image forming apparatus is in a standby mode. A circuit to detect an abnormality of the laser power is further provided. Due to this, the safety of the laser power control of the sample-hold circuit is improved. The operation of the sample-hold circuit can be started at a time point when the laser emitting operation is stable.

Abstract:
In a communication type navigation system that downloads maps, the present invention provides a map data transmission method that can reduce time before guiding is started. A map provision server searches for a traveling route connecting a starting place corresponding to current position information received from an on-vehicle terminal and a destination corresponding to destination information. The server generates guidance information for guiding the vehicle along the searched traveling route and generates a route vicinity map along the traveling route. The server generates traveling route information comprising the searched traveling route and the guidance information, and plural map information blocks into which the route vicinity map containing map information is divided along the traveling route, assigns transmission priority levels to the map information blocks, and transmits the map information blocks according to the transmission priority levels after transmitting the traveling route information.
Abstract:
An on-vehicle breakdown-warning report system is disclosed. an occurrence of break-down is detected and judged based on a signal in an electronic control system installed on a control apparatus for an engine ignition system, a charging system, an engine fuel system, a engine cooling system, a power transmission system, and an oil lubricating system of an automobile or a diagnosis display system; and a diagnostic data is sent to an information terminal device of a diagnosis and maintenance agency or a service company having a diagnosis and maintenance agency as a contents information by using an on-vehicle mobile communication apparatus, and an action for an emergency measures and a maintenance schedule is asked.
Abstract:
A laser driving apparatus which includes a plurality of laser emitting elements, a light receiving element for monitoring amounts of light from the plurality of laser emitting elements, and a current-voltage converter for converting a light amount monitor current outputted from the light receiving element to a light amount monitor voltage. The laser driving apparatus also includes a control circuit for controlling a drive current of each of the plurality of laser emitting elements, based on the light amount monitor voltage outputted from the current-voltage converter. The current-voltage converter includes a common resistor and a plurality of non-common resistors, wherein the common resistor is connected to said light receiving element, and each of the plurality of non-common resistors is connectable to the common resistor through a respective switch and is connected to the control circuit.
Abstract:
A control system for determining a control function for a control device on the basis of a transfer function of an object to be controlled and for adjusting an operation quantity of an object to be controlled in accordance with the determined control operation function, wherein an control function of a first control device is determined so that a closed-loop transfer function of a control system including the object to be controlled and the first control device coincides with a predetermined first transfer function, an control function of a second control device is determined, in a closed loop control system including the control system and the first control device, so that a transfer function from a disturbance applied to the object to be controlled to a state variable of a point at which the disturbance is applied to the object to be controlled, and a sum signal indicative of a sum of outputs of the first and second control devices is used as an operation quantity of the object to be controlled.
Abstract:
A position detecting sensor for detecting that a sheet having come into an openable both-face conveying path for reversing the surfaces of the sheet having an image formed on one surface thereof and conveying the reversed sheet to an image forming portion has arrived at a predetermined re-feeding position, and the position detecting sensor is designed to be capable of detecting also the presence or absence of the occurrence of jam in the both-face conveying path, the mounting and dismounting of a both-face conveying portion and the opening and closing of the both-face conveying path.

A chlorinated rubber having a chlorine content of 10 to 45% by weight based on the weight of the chlorinated rubber and a Mooney viscosity, ML.sub.1+4 (121.degree. C.), of 10 to 190 is obtained by chlorinating an ethylene/alpha-olefin/non-conjugated diene copolymer rubber containing 5-vinyl-2-norbornene as the non-conjugated diene. The chlorinated rubber has excellent processability in roll milling, extrusion, etc.
Abstract:
An optical recording carrier for recording and/or reading information by irradiation with light comprises a conductive material layer capable of being electrostatically charged. An optical card comprises a recording layer and a substrate, wherein said optical card has a conductive material layer capable of being electrostatically charged.A recording and/or reading apparatus employing an optical recording carrier or an optical card comprises a means for keeping electrostatically charged a plate constituting an optical recording carrier or optical card holder of which an optical recording carrier or optical card having a conductive material layer capable of being electrostatically charged is placed, to attract said optical recording carrier or optical card to said optical recording carrier or optical card holder by Coulomb's power, and a means for driving said optical recording carrier or optical card.A recording and/or reading process employing an optical recording carrier or an optical card comprises keeping electrostatically charged in mutually opposite polarity, both of an optical recording or optical card having a conductive material layer capable of being electrostatically charged and a plate constituting an optical recording carrier or optical card holder of a recording and/or reproducing apparatus, to attract said optical recording carrier or optical card to said optical recording carrier or optical card holder in close contact, and effecting irradiation with light under this state to carry out the recording and/or reading.
Abstract:
There is provided an on-vehicle stereoscopic display device wherein the same graphics having different brightness levels are superimposed on display devices to represent the depth of a graphic. The device has a configuration such that information indicating a cross-sectional shape of a graphic to be stereoscopically displayed is generated, and based on the generated information indicating the cross-sectional shape, the graphic having the depth is transparently displayed from the front to the rear of the screen. It is, therefore, possible to provide the on-vehicle stereoscopic display device wherein levels of the depth of a graphic to be stereoscopically displayed do not depend on the number of display devices, there are fewer limitations over a position of an operator to watch the display, and the superior visibility is provided.
