A refractive index of the first layer and a refractive index of the second layer are both higher than a refractive index of the substrate.

摘要： Disclosed herein is an information recording/reproducing apparatus that includes a first and a second recording/reproducing modules, a buffer memory to store information temporally, and a control module that switches between a first mode and a second mode when the information is dubbed from the first recording/reproducing module to the second recording/reproducing module. In the first mode, information in the first recording/reproducing module is reproduced and stored in the buffer memory. In the second mode, the information stored in the buffer memory is recorded in the second recording/reproducing module. The apparatus further includes a temperature detecting module. Depending on the temperature detected by this module, the apparatus changes the movement of the second recording/reproducing module in the first mode and the movement of the first recording/reproducing module in the second mode.

摘要： In a recording apparatus equipped with a drive apparatus for recording data on a recording medium such as an optical disk, and a function capable of initializing a management information area of the recording medium, a storage unit is further provided. The storage unit stores thereinto initializing data which is used to be recorded on the management information area of the recording medium when the recording medium is initialized. In the case that an initializing operation is instructed, the recording apparatus records the initializing data which has been stored in the storage unit on the management information area of the recording medium from a beginning area thereof. Thus, a user no longer waits to use the recording medium until the initializing operation is accomplished when such a recording medium as a new optical disk is used, resulting in an improvement of user operability.

摘要： In a non-contact IC card system which transmits and receives signals between an interrogator and a transponder, a transmitter-receiver used for the interrogator includes a carrier wave oscillator capable of sweeping an oscillation frequency, a resonant wave detector for detecting the resonant frequency of the transponder among carrier waves generated by the carrier wave oscillator, and a carrier frequency holder for maintaining the oscillation frequency of the carrier wave oscillator to the frequency detected by the resonant wave detector. The system is driven with a high transmission efficiency by bring the carrier wave frequency of the interrogator into agreement with the resonant frequency of the transponder, without lowering the Q value of the resonant circuit of the transponder and without any special adjustment for controlling the resonant frequency of the transponder to the desired frequency.

摘要： In a non-contact IC card system which transmits and receives signals between an interrogator and a transponder, a transmitter-receiver used for the interrogator comprises a distance detecting means for detecting the distance between the interrogator and the transponder, and an output control means for controlling the output level of the interrogator in accordance with the signals detected by the distance detecting means, so as to keep the receiving level of the transponder within the range of a given value. The receiving level in the transponder can be prevented from varying depending on the distance between the interrogator and the transponder, so that it becomes unnecessary to provide a protective circuit against an excessive increase of the receiving level. The optimum threshold voltage can also be prevented from varying.
