摘要： In a digital broadcast receiving apparatus, when a power source operation input is done by a user during execution of a starting sequence, a control part stops the execution of the starting sequence and counts the number of operations for a preset time. When the number of operations is odd, an ending sequence is executed and a power source is stopped. On the other hand, when the number of operations is even, the starting sequence is resumed from the beginning and when the power source operation input is not done again, the starting sequence is executed and completed. When the starting sequence is completed, based on a digital broadcast signal of a desired channel received by a tuner through an antenna, a video signal and a sound signal are generated and are outputted to a display unit.

摘要： A combined brake system and method, for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, is capable of synchronizing a braking operation of either a front or rear wheel with a braking operation of the other wheel. The brake system enables a rider to perform braking operations in which the rider feels no little or no discomfort. The system includes a pair of hydraulic pressure modulators for supplying hydraulic pressure, generated by an electrically-operated actuator, to front and rear brake calipers, respectively. A controller electrically controls each hydraulic pressure modulator in response to a riding condition for the vehicle and in response to a braking operation applied by the vehicle operator.

摘要： A braking device for a motorcycle, in which front wheel braking means is operated in conjunction with a braking operation on a rear wheel, eliminates a rapid change in front/rear braking force distribution at the time of a rear wheel braking operation so as to consistently allow a rider to feel a smooth braking operation. Braking force distribution characteristics on the rear and front wheels are previously set for each vehicle speed. When the braking operation on the rear wheel is performed, a brake caliper on the front wheel is controlled so as to maintain braking force distribution characteristics corresponding to a vehicle speed when the operation is started.

In this semiconductor memory having a body memory for storing data and a spare memory for relief of fault bit of the body memory, a row is selected by cutting fuses in a decoder. Fundamentally signal lines such as word lines are not provided with fuses. Other parts including a power source and a reference voltage source are provided with fuses without decreasing the operating speed accompanied by only a slight increase in the area.

The brake device 10 performs correction of a target hydraulic pressure acting on the front wheel brake caliper 16 using a prescribed preset function in such a manner as to give a braking force smaller than a braking force corresponding to an additional operation of the brake lever 12 when the brake lever 12 is additionally operated in the state where the brake pedal 14 is operated and the front wheel brake caliper 16 is generating braking force in combination with the rear wheel brake caliper 18.

A power transmitting mechanism is provided for transmitting the power of the motor to the outside thereof. A master cylinder includes a piston linearly movable by the power transmitted by the power transmitting mechanism. The master cylinder is arranged so as to overlap the motor housing in such a manner that the axis of the master cylinder is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the motor shaft. The master cylinder is arranged on one side of the motor housing in the range corresponding to the axial length of the motor shaft. The length of the hydraulic modulator along the motor shaft falls within the axial length of the motor shaft, so that the hydraulic modulator can be reduced in size.

摘要： A motorcycle brake system enables a smooth switching to a hydraulic loss simulator to provide an improved feeling of braking operation. A brake operating unit includes a brake caliper, an electromagnetic on-off valve (V1) which blocks a main brake passage, a pressure sensor, a hydraulic modulator, and a hydraulic loss simulator. The brake system allocates a braking force to front and rear wheels by controlling the hydraulic modulator based on a result of detection by the pressure sensor. The brake operating unit has a brake light switch for detecting the starting of operation thereof, actuates an electromagnetic on-off valve (V1) to block the main brake passage based on a result of detection by the brake light switch, and unblocks the main brake passage when a predetermined amount of time elapses without any input made to the pressure sensor in a standby state with the main brake passage blocked.

摘要： A digital broadcasting receiver that uses a channel map containing broadcast information such as channel numbers and virtual channel numbers is described. When a user selects a certain digital channel number, a control unit consisting of a CPU makes a search as to whether or not the number exists in the channel map. If the number does not exist, “No Signal” notice is displayed on a display and if the user selects a scan instruction then, the entire range of frequency band of the broadcasting signal is scanned. If a signal that corresponds to the digital channel number exists, its broadcast is received. Therefore, a search is possible even when the user knows only a virtual channel number and the digital channel number entered by the user is not registered in the channel map.
