摘要: An ultrasonic motor has a stator having a piezoelectric member vibrated by a drive signal, and an elastic member for generating traveling vibration wave in a drive surface thereof upon vibration of the piezoelectric member, a rotor which is urged against the drive surface of the elastic member and is driven by the generated traveling vibration wave, a support member integrally molded on the elastic member, and a fixing member for holding the support member. In the ultrsonic motor, one end face of the support member is formed at the same level as the drive surface or the junction surface of the elastic member, an electrode of the piezoelectric member is grounded through the support member, a plurality of holes are regularly formed in the circumferential direction of the support member, or the support member is fixed to the fixing member by an adhesive, thereby improving drive efficiency.

In general, a lens frame with an image blur optical system is shifted in a direction opposite to the direction of vibration by a vibration motor. The image blur suppression device is for suppressing image blur in an image formed by a main optical system having an optical axis. The image blur suppression device has an image blur suppression optical system arranged to move within a plane substantially orthogonal to an optical axis of the main optical system and a vibration motor for providing a drive source to move the image blur suppression optical system so as to compensate for image blur.

摘要: A control circuit generates a control signal which is of a low level during a certain period of time after the power supply of a solid state imager has been turned on or a power save mode thereof has been canceled, and of a high level after elapse of the period of time. Based on the control signal, a timing generator generates transfer clock signals having a high frequency than when the solid state imager is in a normal transfer mode, and applies the transfer clock signals to a CCD shift register to remove or transfer excessive invalid charges at a high rate therefrom. After the power supply has been turned on or the power save mode has been canceled, therefore, the time required to bring the solid state imager into a condition capable of imaging a subject is shortened.

摘要: An ultrasonic motor with a stator uniformly made of a material that can convert electrical energy to mechanical energy. The stator includes a first part having two corresponding electrodes for applying a signal to the first part, and a second part, uniformly configured to the first part, having an area adjacent to the first part where the material does not exist. The second part does not exist between the electrodes. A moving element is in contact with the second part and driven by progressive oscillation waves generated in the second part due to the signal applied to the electrodes.

摘要: An exposure calculation device for use in a camera, is provided with a light metering device for effecting light metering in each of plural areas divided in the object field and generating a light metering signal, containing information relating to the color of the object in each area. A first judgment device judges, whether the object in each area is colored or uncolored, based on the light metering signal and determining colored areas in which the object is colored and uncolored areas in which the object is uncolored; A second judgment device judges whether a predetermined uncolored area contains a white or black object, based on the light metering signals from the colored areas and those from the uncolored areas; An exposure value determining device determines the exposure value according to the light metering signals, based on the results of judgment by the first and second judgment devices.

摘要: An automatic flash amount control apparatus of camera in which a flash device and a photographic lens are set, comprises a focus detection device for performing focus detection with a photographic field being divided into a plurality of focus detection zones, a metering device for metering in a plurality of divided metering regions beams emitted from the flash device and then reflected by the photographic field, a control region selecting device for selecting a metering region preponderantly to contribute to a flash amount control, and a control device for adjusting a flash amount of the flash device, based on a metering value in the metering region selected by the control region selecting device, wherein the control region selecting device selects a region determined in accordance with an output of the focus detecting device if the photographic lens has a long focal length, but a region preliminarily determined if the photographic lens has a short focal length.

摘要: A flash lighting apparatus effects proper lighting for different portions of an object field by the use of a light control device disposed on an optical path between a flash light emitter and the object field. In one embodiment, the flash light control device has a plurality of main control portions and at least one sub-control portion adjacent to main control portions. An adjusting circuit adjusts the quantity of light projected by the control portions so that the quantity of light projected by a sub-control portion may be between the quantities of light projected by the adjacent main control portions. In one embodiment, a single booster circuit provides boosted voltage for use in a light emission control circuit that causes flash light emission and also for use in a control circuit for a light control device. In one embodiment, a photometering circuit photometers areas of an object field, and the number of light control portions is greater than the number of photometered areas.
