摘要: A connector includes a connector housing (10), a row of receiving chambers (CV) formed within the housing (10), and a spacer block (14) fittable to the housing (10) from an obverse surface thereof to face the row of receiving chambers (CV). The spacer block (14) is fixable at a reverse surface thereof to a printed circuit board. A plurality of connection terminals (12) are respectively insertable in the row of receiving chambers (CV). The connection terminals (12) have distal end portions (12a) electrically connectable to electrically-conductive circuit patterns formed on the printed circuit board. The spacer block (14) has a row of passage windows (24) which are formed in a lattice-like manner, and through which the distal end portions (12a) of the connection terminals (12) are respectively passable, so that the distal end portions (12a) of the connection terminals (12) are protected.

摘要: An apparatus for measuring a permanent displacement of an elastic contact segment of a terminal having a displacing load imposing unit, wherein a terminal to be measured is clamped on a surface of a terminal mounting plate, a load imposing head is operated to impose load onto the elastic contact segment of the terminal with its load imposer, a displacement of the load imposing head is measured by a measuring instrument and the contact between the load imposer an the elastic contact segment of the terminal is detected by a circuit tester. An initial contact position of the load imposer with the elastic contact segment is measured at first and continuing to load the elastic contact segment until it reaches a predetermined deformed position. This deformed elastic contact segment is inprocess heat treated and then unloaded by reversing the movement of the load imposer after completing the heat treatment. A leaving position of the load imposer from the elastic contact segment is measured, and then a permanent deformation of the elastic contact segment is measured by a difference between the displacement from the predetermined deformed position to the leaving position and the displacement from the initial contact position to the predetermined deformed position.

摘要: A system capable of performing compatible transmitting and receiving processes, regardless of whether a TV signal on the transmission side is a high-resolution signal or a low-resolution signal or whether the reception side includes a high-resolution display unit or a low-resolution display unit. On the transmission side, a frequency division circuit divides a high-resolution TV signal into signals in a plurality of frequency bands. The signals in each frequency band are converted into signals of a horizontal and vertical low band (a low-resolution TV signal band). The converted signals are coded by coding units, which transmit the coded signals. On the reception side, the coded signals multiplexed on the transmission side are separated and decoded at decoding units. A frequency synthesizing circuit restores the frequency bands of the decoded signals to the original bands. Then, the resulting signals are displayed with a high resolution. A low-resolution signal is coded and then transmitted. The coded signal is decoded on the reception side. The decoded signal is interpolated at an interpolation circuit. The interpolated signal is then displayed on a high-resolution display unit.

摘要: A method and system to acquire checkpoints in making iteration-method computer calculations in parallel and to effectively utilize the acquired data for recovery. At the time of acquiring a checkpoint in parallel calculation that repeats an iteration method, each node independently acquires the checkpoint in parallel with the calculation without stopping the calculation. Thereby, it is possible to perform both of the calculation and the checkpoint acquisition in parallel. In the case where the calculation does not impose an I/O bottleneck, checkpoint acquisition time is overlapped, and execution time is reduced. In this method, checkpoint data including values at different points of time during the acquisition process is acquired. By limiting the use purpose to iteration-method convergence calculations, mixture of the values at the different points of time in the checkpoint data is accepted in the problem that a convergence destination does not depend on an initial value.
