摘要: To supply hydraulic fluid to a hydraulic apparatus, a plurality of pumps are used. One of the pumps is used as a main pump while the remaining pump or pumps are used as sub-pumps. A flow path switching mechanism selectively disconnects the sub-pumps from a supply passage to the hydraulic apparatus. In this manner, a required minimum supply of hydraulic fluid is assured with a simple arrangement while eliminating wasteful energy loss and reducing the dissipation of the horsepower. A reliable operation is maintained without any adverse influence upon the hydraulic apparatus. In one embodiment, a pair of pumps, and a control including a pair of switching valves operating as a pressure sensor and a flow controller are assembled into a pump body. The switching valves assure a reasonable supply of hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic apparatus while minimizing the dissipation of the horsepower. At this end, a pump receiving space is defined within the pump body, and a pair of valve openings are formed around the space and close to each other so that their axes extend parallel to each other. Openings and passages are cast into the pump body or formed by a simple boring operation to provide a communication between these elements. In this manner, the overall arrangement is simple and the manufacturing and assembly are facilitated, reducing the manufacturing cost. A reduction in the size and the weight of the overall unit is achieved.

An area on the second substrate where the common electrode and the resin film are formed includes the liquid-crystal sealed-in region and an area opposing the terminal electrodes. The element segment is arranged in numbers and in a line on the stick substrate. The terminal electrode is arranged between the liquid-crystal sealed-in regions in the element segment and in an adjacent element segment.

摘要: A wiper device for a vehicle disclosed is provided with a wiper motor, a wiper pivot connected to the wiper motor, and a pivot holder having a base portion attached to the vehicle body and a bearing hole pivotally supporting the wiper pivot in a rotatable manner. Here, the wiper pivot can rotate around the pivot axis thereof by using a drive force from the wiper motor and has a cutout portion, and the wiper pivot extends so as to project toward an outer side of the vehicle body. In such a structure, it is further structured such that a C ring engaged with the cutout portion of the wiper pivot is released from the cutout portion when a load equal to or more than a predetermined value acts on the wiper pivot. In this case, as a result, the wiper pivot is moved to an inner side of the vehicle body.

摘要: A stop valve for use in, for example, a fuel tank bleeding system, has a casing with a valve opening defined in a top portion thereof, a bleeding passage provided downstream of the valve opening, a float provided in a casing for vertical movements, and an elastically deformable valve element disposed on top of the float for closing the valve opening when raised together with the float. The valve element includes a hole extending therethrough. An abutment member is provided in the valve opening for, when the valve element is lifted, abutting a portion of the valve element that surrounds the hole. Optionally, the lower end of the abutment member has a recess. The abutment member may be provided with a member for reducing deformation of the valve element caused by abutment to the abutment member. A fuel splash guard may be provided in the bleeding passage.

摘要: The invention relates to a brake system including a brake booster. A pneumatic pressure operated brake booster VBB or a liquid pressure operated brake booster includes a valve mechanism which is urged by a force of depression applied to a brake pedal BP to switch a flow path to cause the brake booster to develop an output which depends on the magnitude of the force of depression. A solenoid SOL urges the valve mechanism in the same direction as or in the opposite direction from the force of depression. A controller ECU is responsive to a braking effort increase/decrease demand signal to increase or decrease the urging force which is applied by the solenoid to the valve mechanism, thus increasing or decreasing the output from the brake booster. An output from the brake booster can be freely controlled independently from the force of depression applied to the brake pedal in response to a braking effort increase/decrease demand. The arrangement is applicable to a wide variety of brake systems onboard a vehicle such as a regenerative brake unit, an engine brake or an exhaust gas brake unit or a brake assisting apparatus.

摘要: In a brake fluid pressure boosting device 1 of the present invention, by operation, an input shaft 4 is moves forward to rotate a lever 27 to actuate a control valve 8 so that the control valve 8 produce working fluid pressure corresponding to the input. The working fluid pressure is introduced into the power chamber 6. By this working fluid pressure, the primary piston 37 is actuated to develop master cylinder pressure. On the other hand, the fluid pressure of the power chamber 6 is introduced into the first annular groove 25 of the valve spool 10. By the difference between pressure receiving areas of the first annular groove 25, the valve spool 10 is subjected to rightward force. The position of the pivot of the lever 27 is fixed and the valve spool 10 is controlled in such a manner that the force applied to the valve spool 10 and the spring force of the spool return spring 32 balances with the input, thereby exhibiting the function as a stroke simulator. Because of this function as a stroke simulator, the stroke characteristic on the input side can be changed without affecting the output side.

The gap defined between the periphery of the valve and a casing is set to be small while the velocity V of the fluid flowing through the gap is increased so as to increase resistance force operating on the valve, whereby the valve always contacts the stopper whenever the valve is opened. There is provided a fluid passage through which fluid passes inside and outside the valve for compensating the flow rate which corresponds to the reduced flow rate caused by the reduction of the gap.
