    摘要: A process for producing modified thermoplastic resin by subjecting a thermoplastic resin to a modifying reaction in a molten state, comprising performing the modifying reaction using carbon dioxide as the reaction medium, wherein carbon dioxide is used in a proportion of 2-200 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin, whereby the efficiency and the uniformity of the reaction can be increased to a high extent while attaining considerable decrease in the remaining amount of the unreacted components in the resulting modified thermoplastic resin without having recourse to the use of an organic reaction solvent, so that the production can be realized easily at a low cost in an efficient manner.

    摘要: This invention relates to a cooling process suitable for foam molding of a synthetic resin and its cooling apparatus. Cooling water which is supplied into a flowing pressurized gas is turbulently jetted in the form of a mist into the overall area of respective chambers in a pair of molds. The mist, adhering uniformly to the overall walls of the molds remove latent heat from the mold surface, and consequently uniformly cool the entire mold. Further, a large quantity of steam generated from the mist as well as excess mist are forcibly discharged outside the chambers by a preferred suction means including a blower, etc., whereby the cooling effect on the walls of the molds is further enhanced.

    摘要: Disclosed is a process for the production of an injection-expansion molded, thermoplastic resin product. The process comprises a gas dissolving step, a cooling step, a metering and injection step, and an expansion controlling step. Specifically, a thermoplastic resin is molten in a continuous plasticator (1), supercritical carbon dioxide and/or nitrogen is added as a blowing agent, and the blowing agent and the thermoplastic resin are formed into a mutually-dissolved state. The resultant molten resin composition is cooled within the plasticator while maintaining a pressure equal to or higher than a critical pressure of the blowing agent. The thus-cooled molten resin composition is metered by an injector (7) and is filled in a mold (8). An internal pressure of the mold is lowered beyond the critical pressure of the blowing agent to produce cell nuclei, whereby the cell diameter is controlled. The blowing agent is maintained in a supercritical state up to the metering and injection step.

    摘要: A method of producing a polypropylene resin molded product from foamed polypropylene particles is disclosed, which comprises introducing a pressurizing gas into foamed polypropylene particles having closed cells so that the particles have an internal gas pressure of from 0.3 to 2.5 Kg/cm.sup.2 G, charging the particles in a mold cavity while compressing the particles with a pressurizing inorganic gas until the initial apparent volume of the particles is reduced to 50 to 99%, removing the gas from the mold cavity while keeping the foamed particles in a compressed state, and introducing steam in the cavity to cause adhesion of the compressed foamed particles. The method produces a molded product having satisfactory appearance and excellent adhesion among particles in a shortened molding cycle.
