摘要: A communication system in which, even when an HTTP session is disconnected from a mobile device, the HTTP session can be continued or a response from a Web server can be returned to a user, without installing a special application in the mobile device. A load-distributable system is provided for realizing such operation. To that end, in a communication system having a relay device that relays a request from a portable telephone terminal (110) to a Web server (120), the relay device (130) relays a processing request from the portable telephone terminal (110) to the Web server, and stores a processing response from the Web server. The relay device (130) sends the portable telephone terminal a message to the effect that the processing response should be acquired from the relay device (130) or a message with the processing response added.

摘要: To guarantee that contents of an update by a transaction in a parallel database management system. A database management system includes a replica database management unit that manages the replica database, records synchronous information at a timing at which one of the transaction generated is valid in every database management unit and other transactions are invalid in every database management unit, extracts update information and the synchronous information for creating the replica database from the update logs, and causes the replica database management unit to import the update information of each transaction that has become valid before the synchronous information was recorded.

摘要: An arrow is provided with a light emitting function, a nock with a light emitting function, and a light emission control device to be used in an arrow which thereby realize accurate and stable light emission periods of time and a reduction in size and weight of light emitting members by using an electronic circuit with an acceleration sensor switch in its light emission control part. The control device includes an acceleration switch, a capacitor circuit including a capacitor and a resistor, and an electrical circuit installed inside the arrow, nock, or attachable to and detachable from the arrow. Electricity is applied when the arrow is discharged from a bow to emit light for a set period of time.

摘要: A production process for a vinyl chloride polymer is proposed in which either vinyl chloride, or a monomer mixture comprising vinyl chloride, is polymerized in an aqueous medium inside a polymerization vessel, while heat removal is conducted using a reflux condenser. In this process, the liquid level of the contents inside the polymerization vessel is monitored using an electric wave liquid level gauge, which is disposed on the polymerization vessel and radiates microwaves with a frequency of 4 to 20 GHz. The operating efficiency of the reflux condenser can be improved, and the quantity of heat removed by the reflux condenser can be increased. Furthermore, the time required to complete the process, including the raw material addition step and/or the washing step conducted following completion of the polymerization, can be shortened.
