    摘要: The invention can obtain an excellent linear property in a focusing direction and a tracking direction and can obtain a stable operation, in an objective lens driving means of an optical pickup. In an optical pickup reading and writing an information with respect to an optical disc by using an objective lens, a movable portion mounting the objective lens thereon is supported by a support member constituted by a pair of flexible printed circuit boards respectively curved in opposite directions in a parallel direction to an optical axis of the objective lens so as to be movable with respect to a fixed portion, in both side surfaces of the movable portion facing with holding the objective lens therebetween.

    摘要: An aspect of the invention provides an optical pickup in which an optical axis is not displaced even if ambient temperature is changed. The optical pickup of the invention has an optical unit and an optical pickup case. The optical unit has a lens member having an optical axis, and the optical axis of the lens member is offset to one side from the center of the optical unit. The optical pickup case holds the optical unit from both sides. A thermal expansion amount of the optical unit is absorbed by compression amounts of a first adhesive and a second adhesive such that the optical axis of the lens member is not displaced when the optical unit is thermal expanded.

    摘要: An optical disk apparatus includes an objective-lens for converging light on a recording surface of an optical disk, and an objective-lens driving device for driving the objective-lens in a focusing direction and a tracking direction. The objective-lens driving device includes a focusing coil having four edges to enclose the objective-lens, and two pairs of permanent magnets. The two pairs of permanent magnets are arranged so that polarities thereof become identical to sides of focusing coil, wherein one pair of the permanent magnets is arranged opposed to an edge of the focusing coil, and an other pair of the permanent magnets is arranged opposed to an edge opposite to the edge of the focusing coil. An interval between two magnets constituting the one pair of permanent magnets is narrower than an interval between two magnets constituting the other pair of permanent magnets.

    摘要: In a background-art optical disk drive, it is necessary to improve acceleration generated in an objective lens driving device in order to make an objective lens track a disk rotating at a high speed. This can be achieved either by increasing a thrust force acting on a movable body including the objective lens or by making the movable body lighter in weight. One method for increasing the thrust force is to make permanent magnets larger or use permanent magnets having a large magnetic force. However, this leads to such a problem that the unit becomes larger in size or higher in cost. In order to solve the foregoing problem, an inner yoke is disposed around a beam of light and inside the movable body of the objective lens driving device. Alternatively, an inner yoke having at least two sides substantially parallel with the radial direction of the disk and at least two sides substantially perpendicular thereto is disposed inside the movable body.
