摘要： The present invention provides a storing structure for storing an ink jet head including a nozzle communicated with an opening for discharging liquid, a liquid storing portion for storing the liquid to be supplied to the nozzle and a liquid introduction portion for introducing the liquid into the liquid storing portion from exterior, wherein, in the ink jet head, air is housed in the liquid storing portion and the liquid is contained at least in the nozzle, and a cap unit including an elastic cap for covering an area of the opening and a liquid absorbing member disposed in the elastic cap is closely contacted with and attached, around the opening, to a face in which the opening is formed, and the liquid introduction portion is communicated with atmosphere at least when inner pressure of the liquid storing portion is increased, thereby maintaining a space within the cap unit to a wetting condition.

摘要： A method of preserving a recording head which includes an ink flow path by which the ink is supplied and a discharge port in communication with the ink flow path to discharge the ink supplied into the ink flow path; is connected to an ink tank in the recording apparatus in such a way to be removably attached to or detached from the ink tank, to allow the ink to be discharged from the discharge port; and uses a reactive ink as the recording ink containing a colorant and reactive component reactive with another ink, comprises a step of examining discharging conditions of the recording head using an ink for examination of a composition free of the reactive component, which is supplied into the ink flow path, and a step of step of preserving the recording head for preservation by replacing the ink for examination remaining in the ink flow path in the recording head by an ink for preservation containing neither the colorant nor reactive component, after the step of examining discharging conditions is over.

摘要： An ink cartridge is described which is connectable to an ink jet recording head of an ink jet recording apparatus. The cartridge is generally formed by a front wall, a back wall, a top wall, a bottom wall and two side walls providing major inner surfaces of the cartridge. The cartridge includes a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber contains negative pressure producing material and has an ink outlet connectable to the ink jet head to supply ink from the cartridge to the ink jet head and an air vent for allowing air into the cartridge. The second chamber has a communication port adjacent to the bottom wall, and communicates with the first chamber through the communication port. The second chamber provides an ink reservoir for the first chamber. Inner corner portions, formed by intersection of the inner side of the side walls adjacent to the communication port and the bottom wall, and which extend toward the communication port, are rounded.

摘要： An optical deflector for deflecting a laser beam from a laser by rotating a polygon mirror uses a dynamic pressure pneumatic bearing as a radial bearing and a magnetic bearing as a thrust bearing. The deflector includes a hollow rotor rotatable integrally with the mirror, a stationary shaft received in said hollow rotor, a casing member accommodating the rotor and stationary shaft, and an annular rotor magnet assembly mounted on the outer periphery of the rotor. A first rotary magnet is mounted in an upper end portion of a rotary shaft and a first stationary magnet in an upper end portion of the stationary shaft in such a manner as to face each other with the same polarity, a repulsive force acting between the two magnets serving as a thrust magnetic bearing. A second stationary magnet is arranged to face the first rotary magnet with the same polarity. Further, a second rotary magnet is mounted in a lower end portion of the rotary shaft and a third stationary magnet in a lower end portion of the stationary shaft in such a manner as to face each other with the same polarity.

The external terminal executes a processing in accordance with the second program and displays a result of the processing executed in accordance with the second program.

摘要： An ink jet printing head is attachable to/detachable from an ink jet printing apparatus and includes an electric wiring member formed of a TAB tape to which terminals are provided, and has a wiring exposed through an end section of the electric wiring member, the terminals accepting signals by making contact with a connection portion on the part of the apparatus when the head is attached to the apparatus. An opening is provided in a supporting member which supports the electric wiring member, the opening extending in a direction traversing an area where the electric wiring member is supported. Thereby, movement of liquid, such as water and ink, to the end section is blocked, the liquid moving through a gap between a back surface of the electric wiring member and a surface of the supporting member.
