    摘要: An orthogonal two-axis moving apparatus includes a first guide member which extends along one direction and is attached to a stationary position, a slide block which is slidably supported on the first guide member and is movable in the one direction, and a second guide member which extends along the other direction perpendicular to the one direction and is supported by the slide block to be movable in the other direction. First and second rollers are pivotally supported on two ends of the first guide member, a third roller is pivotally supported on one end of the second guide member, and intermediate rollers are pivotally supported on four corner portions of the slide block. A coupling belt is provided and has two ends of which are fixed to the other end of the second guide member and which is looped in a cross shape on the first to third rollers and the four intermediate rollers. In addition, a first origin detection device detects an original position of the slide block along the one direction, and a second origin detection device for detecting an origin position of the second guide member along the other direction.

    摘要: An ink jet recording head comprises an ink tank, a nozzle for discharging ink, a liquid chamber for retaining a specific amount of ink supplied from the ink tank through a filter, while supplying ink to the nozzle, and a covering member to be bonded to the liquid chamber, and on the circumference of the liquid chamber, a groove is formed to enable bonding agent to be coated therefor, and on the circumference of the covering member, an extrusion is formed to be fitted into the groove. For this ink jet recording head, gas releasing means is provided for releasing gas remaining in the bonding agent to the outside of the groove when the covering member is bonded to the liquid chamber by fitting the extrusion into the groove after the bonding agent is coated in the groove. With the structure thus arranged, it is possible to prevent leakage form occurring between liquid chambers, because voids are not formed by gas remaining in the bonding agent, which may connect liquid chambers adjacent to each other, and each of the liquid chambers is airtightly closed in the ink jet recording head for a better performance thereof.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for accurately and rapidly correcting a printing characteristic of a printhead, a printhead whose printing characteristic is corrected by the above apparatus, and a printing apparatus using the printhead. In the apparatus for correcting the printing characteristic of the printhead, n kinds of printing control signal patterns are used to a full line printhead, printing patterns are experimentally printed in response to the printing control signal patterns on a printing medium and a reference density distribution is generated from one of n kinds of the printing patterns printed. Then, one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is selected for each of a plurality of printing elements such that a density value on each pixel is equal or close to the reference density distribution. In this case, a similar selection is carried out on another reference density distribution generated on the basis of another one of the n kinds of printing patterns, and an optimum one of the n kinds of printing control signal patterns is determined as correction data.

The electrical connecting portion is protected against liquid droplets and the like, and its electrical reliability is improved.

In this construction, stress concentrations in the electric connections are alleviated even if the electric wiring tape used to support the second sealant has a reduced stiffness due to a reduced thickness of the tape. For this purpose, the plate H1401′ is provided with protrusions H1402 as support members that support the second sealant H1308 through the extension portions H1305 of the electric wiring tape.
