摘要: An image forming apparatus includes cartridges mounted to the main body of the image forming apparatus and including at least developing devices that develop latent images, formed on image bearing members, into toner images. The image forming apparatus forms an image onto a recording material. In the apparatus, for the developing devices, first and second cartridges containing toners having the same hue and having different brightnesses may be exchanged with respect to the main body of the image forming apparatus for use. In addition, a maximum toner amount with respect to the image bearing member when the first cartridge is used is made different from a maximum toner amount with respect to the image bearing member when the second cartridge is used.

摘要: A bend section is disposed on an insertion section. A rotary body, on which a proximal end portion of a wire for a bend operation, which has a distal end portion connected to the bend section, is rotatably supported in a large-diameter section. Driving force transmission portion, which converts linear movement of a working shaft that is operable in a linear direction to rotational movement of the rotary body, is provided in the large-diameter section. A driving source unit is detachably coupled to the large-diameter section on the proximal end side of the insertion section. The driving source unit is provided with operation section which linearly moves the working shaft, in accordance with an operation of a driving shaft that operates in a linear direction by a driving force from a driving motor.

摘要: An electric bending endoscope comprises a bending portion arranged to an inserting portion, a bending driving unit and a buffering member. The bending driving unit bends the bending portion, and includes a motor, a first unit and a second unit. The motor generates driving force for bending the bending portion. The first unit holds the motor. The second unit includes a driving force transmitting member. The buffering member connects the first unit to an outer member of the inserting portion, a connecting code and a switch. The buffering member absorbs external force generated during the operation of the electric bending endoscope.

摘要: An image forming apparatus features a toner removing unit which forms a cleaning electric field to remove toner adhering to a transfer member. The cleaning electric field electrostatically moves the toner adhering to the transfer member to an image bearing member while the transfer member is in contact with an inter-image area, wherein, a time when the toner removing unit forms the cleaning electric field is T1 in the case where the detection toner image is formed prior to the formation of the cleaning electric field in the inter-image area with which the transfer member is in contact, and a time when the toner removing unit forms the cleaning electric field is T2 in the case where the detection toner image is not formed in the inter-image area with which the transfer member is in contact, where T1 is longer than T2.

摘要: An image can be outputted with a high sharpness without deteriorating a resolution. In order to output an image of a high picture quality while suppressing the occurrence of a moire, an exposure amount is modulated in accordance with pixel density information of the image divided into pixels of a predetermined size by an exposure amount modulating unit in a light scanning unit, thereby expressing an image dark/light state. In this case, in a highlight density region in which a pixel density is equal to or less than ⅓ of the maximum image density, the density data of two adjoining pixels is modulated by one pixel and the other pixel is not recorded. In a density region in which the image density lies within a range from ⅓ to ½ of the maximum image density, a part of the density data of one of the two adjoining pixels is transposed to the other pixel. In a density region in which the image density is equal to or larger than ½ of the maximum density, the pixel transposition is not performed.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to solve a problem in which in an image forming apparatus which performs pulse width modulation, when the maximum pulse width is changed to change the maximum density, the exposure amount in patch formation also changes to make it difficult to accurately control the patch and maintain gradation characteristics. To achieve this object, the maximum pulse width of pulse width modulation can be changed. It is determined whether a patch is to be formed. For normal image formation, the maximum pulse width is set to a changed value. For patch formation, the maximum pulse width is set at a predetermined value, and an image is formed.
