Abstract: Where a communications device maintains multiple wireless connections to other devices and networks which use slotted communications protocols, the slots used by those protocols are arranged so as to minimise the power consumed by the device. Where multiple radios are used, power is minimised by avoiding using radios at the same time when those radios are likely to interfere with each other. Slots used by communication protocols can also be selected to maximise the time that the communications device can spend in lower power mode.

Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic device, which includes a display component, in which at least one controllable element is arranged to be visualized in its entirety, the control of which element is arranged to be based on determining a change (M) relating to the attitude or position of the device and camera means arranged to form image frames (IMAGE1, IMAGE2), and in which, in order to control the functions of the device, such as, for example, to control the element, the change is arranged to be determined, using optical data-flow algorithms, from the image frames formed by the camera means, which image frames are arranged to be compared to each other in a set manner, and on the basis of which comparison the said change is arranged to be determined. The image frames are arranged to be segmented in a selected manner, from which at least one movement vector (SR, SL, SUp, SDown) determining the said change is arranged to be determined from at least some of the segments (SEGMENT1, SEGMENT2).

Should HS-DSCH related information—applicable to Serving HS-DSCH cell change—be added to the RRC: ACTIVE SET UPDATE message (32), an unnecessary Radio Bearer Control procedure is avoided, and the drawbacks of the current method are overcome.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method an a device for mapping a virtual user input interface to a physical user input interface. The method is provided for mapping a virtual user input interface to a physical user input interface on a mobile terminal device. The mobile terminal device comprises a first physical user input interface, a display and a processing unit being connected to said display and said physical user interface, wherein an application is configured for use with a second user interface. The method of the invention comprises detecting an event indicative of an application to be executed that is configured for use with said second user interface and displaying a virtual user input interface representing said second user input interface on said display. If a a physical user input is received on said first physical user input interface, it is mapping to said displayed virtual user input interface, and displayed as an indication of a virtual input on said displayed virtual user input interface.

Abstract: An approach is provided for presenting service guides. A head-end platform generates a service guide fragment and inserts a tag into the service guide fragment to generate a modified service guide fragment. The head-end platform then causes, at least in part, transmission of the modified service guide fragment. A user equipment receives the service guide fragment and detects the tag in the service guide fragment. The user equipment then determines a transformation type based, at least in part, on the tag. The user equipment causes, at least in part, performing of the transformation and output of a transformed presentation.

Abstract: A method, system, mobile device, apparatus and computer program product are provided for accurately determining whether one or more rights objects associated with a mobile device are valid. In particular, a secure time source (e.g., DRM clock or time) may be maintained by the mobile device and used to check the validity of the one or more rights objects. In order to ensure that the secure time source or clock remains accurate, the mobile device may update the secure time source by regularly requesting and receiving the DVB-H network time from a DVB-H network entity. Because the DVB-H network time is secure, accurate and readily accessible, it provides an ideal tool for correcting possible drift in the mobile device's secure time source.
