    摘要: Connector systems for a fluid container for pharmaceutical solutions are disclosed. The systems include an outer part adapted for insertion into a fluid conducting system and an inner part arranged in said outer part. The outer part includes a tamper-evident closure connected thereto at a predetermined breaking point that can be manually removed. An external side of the inner part abuts an internal side of the outer part. A closure element attached to the inner part prevents a flow of fluid through the inner part. The inner part and the outer part having provided thereon at least one fluid conducting element, such as a furrow, a flute, a depression or a groove. Medical supply systems comprising a bag, such as a dialysis bag, having such systems are also described.

    摘要: A device and kit are described for mixing and instillation of a two-part chemical system within a body cavity, under pressure. More particularly, a vaginal hygiene system is illustrated utilizing a two-part chemical system effective for achieving stasis of the vaginal flora, whereby bacterial vaginosis is effectively mitigated, thereby eliminating undesirable vaginal discharge and discomfort. In one embodiment a kit is described including a highly portable dispenser having separate and distinct reservoirs which segregate the two-part chemical system until the desired time of use, and further include a combination applicator nozzle and blending manifold, wherein activation of the device results in the fluidic coupling of the chemical reservoirs, and provides immediate intermixing of the two-part chemical system concomitant with pressurized expulsion through an imperforate nozzle into the vaginal canal.

    摘要: An ingestible material delivery device for sequentially delivering first and second ingestible materials to a user through a feeding tube provides a tube body having first and second chambers separated by a seal. A puncture tool is disposed in the second chamber extending toward the seal. The puncture tool engages and disrupts the seal when the second chamber is compressed. In some embodiments, the second chamber includes a plurality of interconnected bellows operable for axial compression of the second chamber. Another embodiment of a delivery device provides a tube body having first and second chambers with exit nozzles extending in opposite flow directions. A method of sequentially delivering first and second ingestible materials to a user through a feeding tube is also provided.

    摘要: The invention provides container systems, kits and methods for peritoneal dialysis (PD) solutions. Such a system, for example, includes a first compartment that contains a PD osmotic agent and a second compartment that contains a PD buffer agent. The compartments maintain their respective contents separately from one another for purposes of transport, storage and/or sterilization. However, the compartments are fluidly couplable, so that their respective contents can be combined with one another, e.g., following sterilization of the agents and prior to their introduction into the patient's abdomen. The invention provides, in other aspects, such systems, kits and methods that provide protective structure which inhibits breaking of a seal prior between the second compartment and an outlet of the system, prior to breaking of a seal between the first and second compartments.
