Abstract:
To achieve space saving and cost reduction by solving a problem with a conventional treatment fluid filtration device wherein a deaerating device and a solid particle filter device were required separately. A filter unit comprises a head part 3 having a treatment fluid inlet port 5, a filtrated fluid delivery port 7, and a deaerating port 9; a housing 1 integrally or detachably connected, in a fluid-tight manner, to the head part; a plurality of deaerating hollow fibers 33, which is housed in the housing on the upstream side; and a filter element 13 housed in the housing on the downstream side of the deaerating hollow fibers. The inlet port 5 communicates with the outer surface side of the hollow fibers 33. The delivery port communicates with the downstream side of the filter element 13. The deaeration port 9 communicates with an internal passage of the hollow fibers 33.
Abstract:
Providing a filter device with various functions, such as remarkable improvement of the throughput of the downstream filter, ion-removing property of the upstream filter. A filter element comprises an upstream filter and a downstream filter made of the same or different material and installed into one housing or container, wherein said downstream filter is fixed to said housing, said upstream filter is fixed to said downstream filter, both filters are concentrically arranged to each other, and when the downstream filter is not contaminated, only the upstream filter can be replaced with fresh one.

Abstract:
A filter cartridge including a liner/valve, or support/valve construction is provided. The liner/valve construction provides for contaminant flow to the filter media during normal filtering operation, and contaminant or sediment retention in the cartridge during a servicing operation. The preferred liner/valve construction includes an outer support having a flexible sheet valve positioned therein. The preferred sheet valve includes a plurality of cut valves. Methods of construction, assembly and use are provided.
Abstract:
A method of assembling a filter element includes the initial step of forming a plastic filter casing with openings from a flat blank with opposite ends thereof bent towards one another and joining these opposite ends together by a sealing seam. Also, a resilient mat filter is folded into a cylindrical shape and pushed open on a fluid-permeable supporting pipe to surround and engage the surrounding pipe. The cylindrical shape of the mat filter has an exterior diameter prior to introduction into the casing that is larger than an interior diameter of the filter casing along the entire axial length of the mat filter. The mat folder is folded into a conical shape to facilitate its introduction thereof into the filter casing. After the axial end is formed, the mat filter and supporting pipe are introduced into the filter casing to define a filter chamber. Finally, two end caps are joined to the filter casing.
Abstract:
An expandable well screen has a desirable thin-wall construction together with a simplified fabrication method. In fabricating the screen, a flexible sheet of metal mesh filter media is diffusion bonded to an inner side of a perforated metal sheet which is then deformed to a tubular shape to form a filter structure having an outer perforated tubular shroud interiorly lined with the filter media. The tubular filter structure is telescoped onto a perforated base pipe and has its opposite ends sealingly secured thereto to complete the expandable well screen.
Abstract:
A tubular filter element has a filtering material extending over a whole length and having in its interior a hollow chamber so that during a filtering operation the filtering material is loaded from outside with a medium to be filtered which passes through the filtering material from outside inwardly to the hollow chamber, a back wash aid arranged in the hollow chamber, a coaxial inner tube located in the hollow chamber of the filtering material and arranged at least at some locations with a distance from the filtering material so as to form at least one intermediate chamber, the inner tube having a tubular wall and being provided at least substantially in a lower longitudinal region with throughgoing passages extending through the tube wall and formed so that, for back washing of the filtering material a back washing medium is supplied opposite to a filtering operation on the one hand into an interior of the inner tube and through the throughgoing passages and on the other hand also into the at least one intermediate chamber and from the latter from inside outwardly through the filtering material.
Abstract:
A filtering device includes a container having an inlet for introducing liquid to be treated, an annular multi-layered prepacked screen assembly provided in the container and having an outlet for treated liquid. The screen assembly includes three or more cylindrical screens having different diameters and bieng coazially disposed in the container with their axes extending vertically in the container. An anulus is formed between the respective cyldinrical screens. Two or more different filter materials performing different filtering functions are filled one in each of the annuluses between the cylindrical screens.
Abstract:
The invention is a spin-on type filter with a reclaimed permanent filter casing and permanent filtering media that are washable and reusable. There are three distinct progressive filtering systems that function simultaneously, but separately within one filter housing, one is the full flow filtering at 10 micron capability while the other is in its bypass fine filtering mode at 1 to 3 micron filtering capability. In addition, a safety full flow filter can be activated to filter the return oil while the main full flow medium is fouled. Each system can be implemented with multiple media. The main body of the filter, which comprises the filter head and the media, can be separated easily for servicing from its casing which is designed to attach to the engine. Fine stainless steel cloths are utilized as filtering media which can last the life of an engine Furthermore, magnets arc utilized to trap suspending metal filings in oil flow. The design of the main filter body as such is that any used conventional filter canister can be simply adapted to it or a new filter canister casing can be utilized whichever is the advantage at the time of installation and of in production.
Abstract:
A filter media for physically separating agglomerations of abrasive particles from a chemical-mechanical polishing (CMP) process slurry stream. The media is provided as being formed of at least one fabric sheet having a first and second surface defining a first thickness dimension of the sheet therebetween, with the fabric being woven of polymeric monofilament fibers. In service, the slurry stream is supplied to the first side of the filter media, and is passed through the media to the second side thereof such that at least a substantial portion of the agglomerations of abrasive particles are retained on the first side of the media.
