    摘要: A tool holder includes a body, a cutting head having a cutting end portion and a tapered end portion, a retention knob located at the tapered end portion of the cutting head, and a ball clamping mechanism received in an aperture of the body. The ball clamping mechanism includes an upper clamp, a lower clamp, and a double-ended clamp screw threaded onto the upper and lower clamps. Rotation of the clamp screw in a one direction causes the upper clamp and the lower clamp to move toward each other and engage the retention knob to place the tool holder in a locked position, and rotation of the clamp screw in an opposite direction causes the upper clamp and the lower clamp to move away from each other such that the upper and lower clamps no longer engage the retention knob to place the tool holder in a unlocked position.

    摘要: A main shaft includes a plurality of elastic engagement pieces arrayed along an outer perimeter of an attachment hole. During and after assembly, the elastic engagement pieces elastically abut at least an outer surface of a tapered shank in a tool holder and deform slightly in a radial direction. The elastic engagement pieces provide uniform engagement force between the main shaft and the tool holder over a broad surface area. An elastic flange provides additional elastic engagement and easy separation from the main shaft. Together, the elastic engagement pieces and elastic flange reliably engage and securely attach the main shaft to the tool holder while aiding disengagement.

    摘要: The tool shank contains a taper member, a flange member, a holder member, a clamped member, and a number of slits. The taper member has a conic shape extended along an axial direction with a top section and a bottom section. The flange member is beneath the bottom section of the taper member. The holder member is extended downward from a bottom side of the flange member along the axial direction. The clamped member is extended upward from the top section of the taper member. The slits are configured at intervals around the bottom section surrounding the axial direction. Each slit defines a slightly outwardly bulge. The bulges increase the contact area with and avoid gaps to a tapered socket of a spindle. As such, the tool shank is tightly jointed to the spindle during high-speed rotation without causing vibration and damage.

    摘要: An elastic chuck includes a base plate, an elastic plate and jaws. The base plate has a through hole running between upper and lower surfaces thereof. The elastic plate has a fixing ring fixed to the base plate, a pulling block that can move along a central axis of the through hole, and holders radially extending from the pulling block toward the fixing ring. Each of the holders has a top surface facing the upper surface of the base plate across a radial gap. The jaws are mounted at top surfaces of the holders, respectively. The pulling block of the elastic plate receives a pulling force along the central axis to drive the jaws to hold a workpiece firmly. The elastic chuck has a simple structure and limited parts, so its process of manufacturing and assembling are time-saving and cost saving, and the resultant structure is highly precise.
