Abstract:
The invention relates to a control system for driving a motorized closure element of a motor vehicle, wherein a control arrangement and at least one distance sensor are provided in order to detect operator control events, wherein a distance from a user can be detected by means of the distance sensor. The invention proposes that the distance sensor has a changing sensitivity along a sensor extent, and in that a longitudinal movement by the user along the sensor extent produces a pattern in the profile of the sensor signal with respect to time, which pattern is detected by the control arrangement at least as part of an operator control event, owing to the sensitivity profile along the sensor extent.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for actuating a closure element arrangement in a motor vehicle, wherein the closure element arrangement has a closure element, a drive arrangement associated with the closure element, a control arrangement and a sensor arrangement having at least one sensor element that is particularly in the form of a proximity sensor, wherein operator control event monitoring involves the control arrangement being used to monitor the sensor measured values from the sensor arrangement for whether there is a predetermined operator control event, and the result of the operator control event monitoring is taken as a basis for actuating the drive arrangement, the mechanical configuration of the motor vehicle being able to be altered by an adjusting process and/or by a fitting process during use based on normal operation.
Abstract:
A gate opening system for a vehicle comprises a gate for the vehicle moveable between an open position and a closed position relative to a vehicle body and a gate actuator secured to the vehicle and the gate to actuate movement of the gate between the open position and the closed position. A camera is mounted to the vehicle and facing in an external direction provide a view of an area proximate to the vehicle. An ECU is connected to the camera to detect a predetermined action by a vehicle operator based upon image analysis of the camera image. A remote keyless entry system is also connected to the ECU and the gate actuator, wherein the remote keyless entry system activates the gate actuator to move the gate from the closed position to the open position when the ECU determines that the predetermined action has occurred.
Abstract:
An actuating apparatus for adjusting a first vehicle door which can be automatically adjusted between a closed position and an open position is used in a vehicle. To this end, the actuating apparatus has a capacitive distance sensor for detecting a movement of a person who is in the vicinity of the vehicle, and also has a control and evaluation unit. The control and evaluation unit is configured to identify a first door actuation request on the basis of the detected movement, and to trigger adjustment of the first vehicle door when the first door actuation request is identified. In this case, a sensor electrode of the capacitive distance sensor is arranged in a vehicle corner region which is associated with the rear of the vehicle.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a detection device (1) for a motor vehicle (VI) comprising at least one optical detector (3). Said at least one optical detector (3) being configured for detecting the approach of a person (U) in a predefined area in the vicinity of the vehicle in order to activate opening command means of a device for opening a movable panel (5, 7) of the vehicle (VI). According to the invention:—said detection device (1) comprises switching means for switching the function of the at least one optical detector (3) to a detecting function of an obstacle (V2) at a predefined distance of the vehicle (VI) when the identifier of an authorized person (U) is detected inside the vehicle (VI) and the vehicle movable panels (5, 7) are closed, and wherein—said detection device (1) comprises processing means configured to react depending on a detection of an obstacle (V2) by the optical sensor (3). The invention also relates to corresponding methods for detecting obstacles and for opening a movable panel of the motor vehicle.
Abstract:
An entry assist system for a motor vehicle includes a door, a door operation module to open and close the door and a starter actuator for starting an engine of the motor vehicle. The entry assist system further includes a control subsystem. The control subsystem includes a gesture sensor and a controller. The controller is responsive to the gesture sensor to open the door and start the engine of the motor vehicle.
Abstract:
A reliable and secure activation of an access based on a detection of movement in a remote access system by providing a secure method for opening/closing of an access in hands-free access mode. The detection of movement relates to the displacement of a lower member of a user by a remote access system, this access system including at least two elements of detection which each emit a signal whose variations (31, 33, 35) are analyzed. The detection of a movement of a lower member is validated by the application of a double verification step according to parameters (dAsA, dAsB) of a criterion for identification (tA, tB; dAsA, dAsB) of a form of variation (F2; A, B) of each signal (31, 33, 35) with a model form of the movement, and according to a criterion for simultaneity of detection of the forms of variation (F2) identified on the two signals.
Abstract:
A method for operating a closure panel of a vehicle, comprising: using a processor, determining whether a first proximity sensor and a second proximity sensor located on a periphery of the vehicle have been sequentially activated to indicate an object moving across the first proximity sensor; and, controlling the closure panel to open or close when the first proximity sensor and the second proximity sensor have been sequentially activated.
Abstract:
For error-proof, gesture-controlled opening of an actuating element in a motor vehicle, provision is made to detect a vehicle user's gesture, which conveys an opening command, by means of a sensor, to check a control behavior for activating at least one further gesture-controlled actuating element of the motor vehicle for plausibility in accordance with at least one predetermined criterion and, upon identification of the opening command, to refuse the opening of the actuating element if, in a temporal relationship with the identification of the opening command, the control behavior for activating the further actuating element is identified as being implausible.
