Abstract: A moving body setting apparatus can receive an operation terminal ID transmitted from an operation terminal holding the operation terminal ID, and includes: a storage unit storing first information associating the operation terminal ID of the operation terminal with a user ID of a moving body, and second information associating the user ID with setting information of equipment included in the moving body; a user selection unit that selects a user of the moving body, based on a user operation, or based on the operation terminal ID received from the operation terminal, and the first information; a moving body setting unit that acquires, from the second information, setting information of the equipment associated with a user ID of a user selected by the user selection unit, and sets the equipment based on the acquired setting information; and an update unit that updates, when switching of user is performed by the user selection unit based on the user operation, a user ID associated with the operation terminal ID received from the operation terminal in the first information, with a user ID of a user after the switching.

Abstract: A wearable key device is to be used while being worn on a predetermined position of a body and includes a ring communication module, an imaging device, and a ring controller. The ring communication module is configured to wirelessly communicate with an authentication device provided to a predetermined protection object. The imaging device is configured to capture an image of the predetermined position of the body. The ring controller is configured to acquire wearer information that is biometric information of a wearer who wears the wearable key device based on the image captured by the imaging device. The wearer information is used for determining whether the wearer is an authorized user.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided. One method includes processing operations to share electronic keys (e-keys). The method includes receiving a request to share an electronic key (e-key) of a vehicle with a recipient device. The request to share the e-key is initiated by sending a message to the recipient device using a sharing device. The method includes processing the request to validate the request to share the e-key, as received from the sharing device having associated therewith a registered owner e-key. Processing the request includes generating the e-key securely by the sharing device and registering the e-key that was generated with a server associated with a manufacturer of the vehicle. The method includes enabling the e-key for use on the vehicle by the recipient device responsive to said processing of the request. The request to share the e-key includes enabling a setting to apply a privilege level for use of the vehicle via the e-key. The privilege level provides one or more conditions of use of the vehicle via the e-key.

Abstract: An in-vehicle encryption system for use in a vehicle comprising a plurality of vehicle subsystems. The system comprises a security ECU module that communicates with a remote cryptographic module, the security ECU module comprising a processor and a per vehicle master secret (PVMS) value stored in the security ECU module. The security ECU module uses the PVMS value to authenticate with the remote cryptographic module and to establish an external encrypted communication link with the remote cryptographic module. The system further comprises a first subsystem ECU module that generates a first globally unique identifier (GUID) and a second subsystem ECU module that generates a second GUID. The security ECU module uses the first GUID value to establish a first encrypted communication link with the first subsystem ECU module.

Abstract: A system is provided and includes a receiver and an access module. The receiver is configured to receive a signal transmitted from a portable access device to a vehicle. The access module is configured to generate a differentiated signal based on the received signal, up-sample the differentiated signal to generate a first up-sampled signal, up-sample an expected signal to generate a second up-sampled signal, cross-correlate the first up-sampled signal and the second up-sampled signal to generate a cross-correlation signal, determine, based on the cross-correlation signal, a phase difference between the first up-sampled signal and the second up-sampled signal, determine a round trip time of the signal received by the receiver based on the phase difference, and permit access to the vehicle based on the round trip time.
