Abstract:
The Feces Remover with Quick-Release Head provides a tool to retrieve feces and directly deposit the feces into a disposable bag without the need to simultaneously handle the Feces Remover and disposable bag. The Feces Remover includes a handle formed with a storage compartment having a quick-release head receiver with an attached quick-release head at one end and a cap used to enclose the storage compartment at the opposite end. A plunger placed at the bottom of the storage compartment is attached to the cap. As the cap is removed from the handle, the plunger is pulled up along the storage compartment and brings all the items held within towards the uncapped end of the storage container. To remove feces a disposable bag is directly attached to the quick-release head receiver and quick-release head where the opening of the quick-release head allows feces to be directly deposited into the bag.
Abstract:
A vacuum device for collecting pet waste includes a housing coupled to a vacuum source. The housing is a clam-shell configuration and is configured to receive a disposable liner bag. When closed, the housing holds the liner bag securely therein. A method of using the device provides for placing the liner bag within the housing, feeding a portion of the liner through an inlet tube to the housing, such that the inlet of the housing is insulated from contact with the waste being picked up.
Abstract:
A universal garbage pick-up tool includes a main body, an inner support tube, at least two guard members positioned between the main body and inner support tube, a pushing rod positioned within the inner support tube, a push button operatively connected to a proximal end of each guard member and a proximal end of the pushing rod, and a plurality of spring claws attached to a distal end of the pushing rod. The spring claws are positioned within the inner support tube, and the guard members and the spring claws are released upon the actuation of the push button, thereby allowing the spring claws to extend axially from a distal end of the main body. An adjustment ring may be attached to the distal end of the main body, including at least two pins circumferentially spaced apart. A magnet may be positioned within the push button of the pick-up tool.
Abstract:
An adjustable-length walking aid provides a hollow tubular body having a top and a bottom. A spring-biased gripper arm at the bottom is connected to a tension gripper actuator filament that is spooled around a flywheel spool. A lamp housed in the base of the body is connected to a power supply in the handle by a conductive filament that is also spooled around the flywheel. The tension on the gripper actuator and conductive filaments is maintained by the flywheel regardless of the length to which the cane is adjusted.
Abstract:
An illuminated pet waste collection tool features two components: a small, flat-bottomed shovel blade and separate spatula of corresponding size and shape, each on a long handle. The two components clip together for carrying. The shovel component features a high-powered light-emitting diode (LED) bank in the handle, which is configured to selectively emit a bright, focused beam of light downward from the lower end of the handle to illuminate the ground in front of the user.
Abstract:
A selectively bendable remote access gripping tool, includes a jaw portion having a pair of jaws or nets movable relative to each other between clamped and opened positions thereof, a handle portion spaced apart from the jaw portion by a bendable central portion that has a hollow, corrugated member that is bendable, and a cord extending through the hollow bendable member that connects the jaw portion and the handle portion.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for a hand held device for collecting waste material deposits. In one exemplary embodiment the device comprises a frame with a grip portion, and a waste receptacle with an open end for receiving a waste material deposit. The exemplary device may further comprise a pivoting scoop adapted to swing between a loading position in which the scoop extends generally away from the grip end of the frame, and a dispensing position in which the scoop is generally juxtaposed with the open end of the waste receptacle.
Abstract:
A portable bag holder, kit and method are provided for maintaining a bag mouth of a disposable bag in an open position. The portable bag mouth holder may be provided in combination with one or a plurality of receptacles such that the bag mouth is maintained in an open position of contents in the bag.
Abstract:
A foldable pet feces pickup device includes a handle, upper operating stick, and a lower operating stick. The device further includes a linkage accessory connecting the upper operating stick to the lower operating stick. The linkage accessory has an elongated shape with round convex parts. The device further includes a pair of picking-up members for picking up an object; and a shaft connecting the lower operation stick and the pair of picking-up members. If the upper operating stick is moved toward the handle, the pair of picking-up members moves away from each other to open. If the upper operating stick is moved away from the handle, the pair of picking-up members moves toward each other to close. The device is foldable at the linkage portion.
