    摘要: A tensioning rail for an endless drive, in particular a timing chain drive of an internal combustion engine, comprises a sliding lining body and a reinforcement body inserted in the sliding lining body and connected thereto by a detent connection, the sliding lining body comprising a slide rail for contact with an endless drive and a press-on region for the tensioning piston of a tensioning device. The tensioning rail is characterized in that the press-on region is arranged in a resiliently movable fashion on the slide rail and comprises a detent device as a constituent part of the detent connection such that the detent device is adapted to be locked due to the resilient movement of the press-on region. An endless drive having a tensioning rail of the type disclosed is also provided.

The at least one recessed section is arranged between two chain guide sections and recessed relative to a tangent connecting the adjoining chain guide sections, the at least two chain guide sections having each a sliding-contact surface for contacting the drive chain. A continuous sliding body is arranged on the carrier body along the at least two chain guide sections and the at least one recessed section, the sliding body defining the sliding-contact surfaces of the at least two chain guide sections and a surface of the at least one recessed section, the surface facing the drive chain.

    摘要: A chain-tensioning rod, for an internal combustion engine with an overhead camshaft valvetrain to keep in tension a timing chain, includes a shoe, which is pressed against the timing chain, and a supporting arm of the shoe, allows a simple assembly of the arm and of the relative shoe because the shoe is formed by a monolithic piece having, on one side thereof, a sliding surface and on, the opposite side, a supporting surface and a contact element connected to the supporting surface by a longitudinal central rib; and the supporting arm is formed by an elongated sheet having a longitudinal pass-through slit extending from a distal end thereof, wherein it is open, so that insertion of the supporting arm on the supporting surface takes place by making said rib to slide in the slit, the rib operating as transversal locking device of the supporting arm on the supporting surface.

Further provided is a relief valve unit 130 that releases oil when the pressure of the second oil pressure chamber 102 reaches or exceeds a predetermined high level.

    摘要: A tensioner force assembly is provided for applying tension to an engine timing chain that changes the direction of the force acting on a chain tensioning arm such that the tensioner piston is oriented in parallel with the long axis of the crankshaft. The tensioner assembly includes a crankshaft sprocket attached to the crankshaft, a cam shaft sprocket attached to the cam shaft, and a timing chain engaging the sprockets. A timing chain tensioner is pivotally attached to the engine block. A chain tensioner mechanism is provided that takes up timing chain slack. The chain tensioner mechanism includes a pivotable force transfer mechanism, a cylinder body having a long axis parallel to the long axis of the crankshaft, and a reciprocating tensioner piston in the body and engaged with the transfer mechanism for moving the transfer mechanism to apply required tension to the timing chain through the timing chain tensioner.

    摘要: The problem to be solved by the present invention lies in making it possible to reduce costs and to reduce the size of an oil pump, without impeding the degree of freedom in chain layout. An oil jet 1 is constructed in order to supply lubricating oil to a tension-side span of a chain C while also causing a tensioning force to act on a slack-side span of the chain C. The oil jet arm 1 is provided with a pivoting-side part 2A, and a tip-end side part 2B which is provided in such a way as to be pivotable about the pivoting-side part 2A and is acted on by a pressing force from a piston 41 of a hydraulic tensioner 4, and an oil ejection hole 22a for ejecting to the outside oil supplied from an oil discharge hole 41a in the piston 41 is formed in the tip-end side part 2B. Oil ejected from the oil ejection hole 22a is supplied to a portion E on the meshing start side with a sprocket 100 on the tension-side span of the chain C.

The camshaft-drive tensioner system includes a tensioner configured to be energized by a pressurized fluid in order to apply a force to the camshaft-drive element. The camshaft-drive tensioner system additionally includes a controller configured to regulate either volume or pressure of the fluid supplied to the tensioner by the fluid pump to thereby selectively vary the force applied to the camshaft-drive element. An internal combustion engine having such a camshaft-drive tensioner system and a method of selectively varying a force applied to the camshaft-drive element are also disclosed.
