    摘要: An automotive air temperature control system including a vacuum regulator which is responsive to the air temperature of the passenger compartment to vary the strength of vacuum applied to a multiposition vacuum motor which is connected to an air damper. The vacuum regulator includes a bleed port with a valve controlled by the combination of a main bimetal element and a compensator bimetal element whose relative response to changes in air temperature is in opposition to one another. The action of the compensator tends to reduce temperature overshoot caused by thermal delay of single bimetal regulators. Cam means connected to a thumbwheel dial are provided for manually setting the vacuum regulator for a range of predetermined temperatures.

    摘要: A thermal modulating control valve for providing bleed air for aircraft anti-icing purposes includes a valve chamber with an inlet for high temperature bleed air and an outlet for temperature modulated bleed air for aircraft systems. A modular valve mechanism is mounted in a chamber for regulating the flow of hot bleed air to the outlet in response to the temperature of the supply. The valve includes a first wall section having a plurality of spaced apart flow orifices or openings in one face and fixedly secured adjacent the inlet end of the chamber, and a second confronting wall section having a plurality of spaced apart flow orifices or openings provided to directly confront the orifices in the first wall section. The wall sections are movable relative to one another in response to the temperature of the bleed air at the inlet end so as to displace the respective sets of flow orifices in and out of registry for controlling the flow of bleed air supplied to the outlet of the valve. A solenoid controlled on/off poppet valve is provided to supply and shut off bleed air to the thermal modulating valve mechanism.

    摘要: This invention provides a device for meeting the demand of a forced-air furnace for make-up air in a building, the make-up air being available from a duct leading from outside the building. The device takes warm air from the hot air plenum of the furnace and returns the air to the return air plenum. This flow of air is caused by a differential pressure between the two ducts when the furnace is operational and operates a valve element which normally closes the duct carrying outside air and opens to permit flow of this air in response to the passage of warm air between the hot air and return plenums.

    摘要: A modular fluid control module having a plug-in connector is provided for control of one or more functional load devices in response to fluid condition and demand input signals. The module includes a fluid circuit board having top and bottom plate members bonded to a common center plate. The top and bottom plates each have a plurality of parallel flow lines. The first and second parallel lines are substantially perpendicularly related to define an X-Y coordinate grid. The center plate has openings establishing preselected connection of the parallel flow lines in the top and bottom plates. The top plate includes a multiple input/output port connector which includes a plurality of ports connected to the parallel flow lines of the top plate. Each of the top and bottom plates includes a plurality of plug-in logic and control ports connected to select internal flow lines of the corresponding plate. A plurality of logic devices and interrelated control devices, such as fluid transmitters, fluid repeaters, fluid comparators, fluid signal receiving devices, fluid diodes and other similar devices, are coupled to the control ports for establishing selected response to the input signals and establishing output signals for the load devices to said port connector. The control ports not connected to a control device or other port is sealed by a cap or vented to atmosphere.

    摘要: Air flows to the conditioned space through a cool air duct and a warm air duct which feed a common delivery duct. The inlet of the cool air duct is connected to a cool air supply duct of a parent system; and inlet of the warm air duct communicates with the return air plenum. Flow control components are air actuated and are controlled by actuators responding to a varying air pressure control signal, which is the output of a thermostat in the conditioned space producing a varying signal pressure signal related to varying temperatures. Dampers in the cool air duct and warm air duct provide for alternative air flow from either of these ducts to the delivery duct. The volume of air flow in the cool air duct is controlled by a modulating damper which responds to a selected signal pressure range. The air flow in the warm air duct is controlled by a fan and dampers, controlled through change of the signal pressure in either direction relative to a selected signal level. An electric heater in the delivery duct is energized and de-energized in response to change of the signal pressure in either direction relative to another selected signal level, whereby this heater is energized only in conjunction with air flow through the warm air duct.
