摘要: A mounting device for selectively positioning an optical element within a field-of-view of an optical sensor of a vehicle includes: a housing defining an opening sized to fit over an aperture of the optical sensor; a holder for the optical element connected to the housing and positioned such that, when the holder is in a first position, the optical element is at least partially within the field-of-view of the optical sensor; and a motorized actuator. The motorized actuator can be configured to move the holder to adjust the position of the optical element relative to the field-of-view of the optical sensor.

摘要: An imaging device acquires an input image using a lens unit and an imaging element and detects a subject. The imaging device calculates a reliability of detection of a subject and compares the reliability with a threshold value. When the reliability of detection of a subject is less than the threshold value, the imaging device performs a defocus calculating process and a background area determining process. The imaging device performs a low-pass filtering process on the determined background area, decreases a high-frequency component in the background area, and then detects a subject again.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for determining a group of persons to be considered staying in an observation region by considering exception markings for other persons, wherein the group of persons to be considered is a group of the persons staying in the observation region excluding the other persons who stay in the observation region and carry one of the exception markings. Thereby, the exception markings are graphic pattern with at least one characteristic length ratio. At least one image is recorded of the observation region, and in the at least one image, the persons staying in the observation region and optical signatures of the exception markings are detected, wherein the detected optical signatures are assigned to detected persons. Furthermore, a detected group of the detected persons to be considered in the observation region is determined excluding the detected persons with assigned detected optical signature.

An intelligent item receptacle includes an item receptacle securely enclosing an interior volume, an item sensor configured to detect an inserted item, a camera within the interior volume configured to capture an image of the item, and an output configured to play audio or visual content to bystanders outside the item receptacle. Processing circuitry within the item receptacle analyzes the image to determine if the media indicia are present on the item and, if present, causes the output to play the audio or visual content associated with the media indicia.

摘要: A system that analyzes images of a shelf to determine the available shelf space. Camera images of the shelf from multiple viewpoints may be projected onto the shelf surface to remove distortions from camera projections and to align images to a common shelf reference frame. A mask may be calculated from each projected image that identifies regions that match the appearance of the shelf surface. The shelf surface may have a specific pattern to facilitate identification of these regions. A combined mask may be formed as a union of the masks from individual projected image masks. The available shelf space corresponds to the regions in the combined mask. Combining image masks from multiple viewpoints reduces the effect of occlusion of the shelf surface by items on the shelf.
