Abstract:
An elongate hand-held printer device for printing on a medium when a user moves said device over the medium. The device includes an upper and a lower moulding configured to complementarily receive each other to define a housing, said housing defining an ink ejection slot along, and a printhead module housed in the housing. The module has a plurality of micro-electromechanical ejection devices for operatively ejecting ink via the ink ejection slot. The device also includes an ink supply cartridge housed in the housing, the cartridge for supplying the printhead module with ink, as well as an optical encoder wheel to facilitate regulation of a printing rate of the printhead module as the device is moved along the medium.
Abstract:

A first user console is provided to permit a user to control operation of the CD player and the radio receiver. A liquid crystal display (LCD) is provided which can be used to display information from the CD. A printer is configured to print the displayed information. A second user console is provided to permit a user to control operation of the printer.
Abstract:
A communication terminal captures an image of a device having a local area wireless communication function, displays the image on a screen, and performs local area wireless communications with the device while further displaying data stored in the device on the screen.
Abstract:
A captured image processing system includes a portable terminal apparatus and an image output apparatus. The portable terminal apparatus captures images consecutively more than once while detecting a change in position of the portable terminal apparatus during the image capture (S10), and transmits, to the image output apparatus, (i) a plurality of pieces of captured image data and (ii) motion information on the change in position which change has been detected for each of the plurality of pieces of captured image data (S15). The output apparatus receives, from the portable terminal apparatus, the plurality of pieces of captured image data and the motion information (S20), carries out, in accordance with the motion information, a positioning process in which the plurality of pieces of captured image data are positionally adjusted (S21), prepares, by use of the plurality of pieces of captured image data which have been subjected to the positioning process, high resolution image data (S22), and outputs the high resolution image data prepared or an image displayed based on the high resolution image data (S29).
Abstract:
A personal digital assistant module with a local CPU, memory, and I/O interface has a host interface comprising a bus connected to the local CPU and a connector at a surface of the personal digital assistant for interfacing to a bus connector of a host general-purpose computer, providing direct bus communication between the personal digital assistant and the host general-purpose computer. In an embodiment, the personal digital assistant also has a means for storing a security code. The personal digital assistant according to the invention forms a host/satellite combination with a host computer having a docking bay, wherein upon docking a docking protocol controls access by the host to memory of the personal digital assistant based on one or more passwords provided by a user to the host. In another embodiment the personal digital assistant has a compressed BIOS chip, and in yet another embodiment also has an expansion port connected to the local CPU, and expansion peripheral devices may be connected and operated through the expansion port.
Abstract:
A communication system including a communication box connected to a public communication line and capable of data communication with a child unit through a digital cordless (DCL) wave and with a multi-function device through a wires LAN (WLAN) wave, and wherein each of the child unit and multi-function device has a light emitting portion and a light receiving portion for optical communication between the child unit and multi-function device. The communication box and multi-function device have respective WLAN communication control portions which are normally placed in a non-operating state, and when the communication box receives facsimile data from the public communication line, the communication box commands the child unit to require the multi-function device to start its WLAN communication control portion, starts its own WLAN communication control portion, and transmit the facsimile data to the multi-function device through the WLAN wave.
Abstract:
When image data is sent and received between cameras via communication, it is possible for the user to ascertain the images that are being communicated. Thumbnail image data for transfer purposes is transmitted from a transmit-side camera to a receive-side camera. Main (full-size) image data is thenceforth transmitted from the transmit-side camera to the receive-side camera. When the main image data is sent and received, display screens on respective ones of the cameras display an image in which a transfer thumbnail image represented by transfer thumbnail image data moves from the display screen on the transmitting side to the display screen on the receiving side.
Abstract:
Described in detail herein are systems and methods for allowing a wireless telecommunications device, such as a cell phone, to wirelessly receive and transmit digital content, such as digital images from a camcorder. Further, the wireless telecommunications device can wirelessly command a digital content capture device. Further, a card may be inserted into a digital content capture device to permit the device to wirelessly send digital content. Further details and features are described herein.
Abstract:
An in-car entertainment (ICE) unit includes a compact disc (CD) player configured to play a CD. A radio receiver is configured to receive a radio broadcast. A first user console is provided to permit a user to control operation of the CD player and the radio receiver. A liquid crystal display (LCD) is provided which can be used to display information from the CD or the radio broadcast. A printer is configured to print the displayed information. A second user console is provided to permit a user to control operation of the printer.
Abstract:
In a cellular phone (201), text data (code data) corresponding to user's input operation is converted into first data format (BMP format or the like) image data. The image data is synthesized with input image data such as a photograph to be allotted in a given format. The image data arranged and synthesized in the format is converted into image data of a second data format (JPEG, GIF, or the like). The converted image data is then printed on a recording sheet (203) in a printer (202).
