Abstract:
A system comprising a read out device for reading a radiation image stored in a photostimulable phosphor screen and for generating a digital signal representation of a read out image wherein the read out device supports a single format and is coupled to a processing unit which is programmed for cropping a region of interest (ROI) in the read out image.
Abstract:
A radiation image capturing system includes at least one image capturing apparatus including a radiation detector, at least one image capturing apparatus including a stimulable phosphor panel for generating radiation image information, which is readable by an image reading apparatus, and at least one control device for controlling at least the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus based on image capturing instruction information supplied from an external source. The control device includes a change setting unit for changing settings of the image capturing instruction information depending on whether the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus are usable or not, and a controller for controlling the image capturing apparatus and the image reading apparatus based on the changed settings of the image capturing instruction information.
Abstract:
An x-ray diagnostic apparatus and methods performs Real-Time Digital Radiography with particular application in dental x-ray imaging modalities, such as Orthopantomography, Scannography, Linear Tomography and Cephalography, by using a versatile and modular electronic unit, featuring ultra fast computation capability to serve diversified image sensor typology and scanning modality. In Digital Orthopantomography and Scannography, a plurality of tomographic images at different depths of the jaw can be generated, based on the pre-selection made by the user interface. The image processing unit utilizes for the tomo-synthesis of the diagnostic image an accurate and economic digital simulator of the radiographic film speed, including a digital frequency synthesizer fed with film cassette speed digital input and high resolution clock signal, ensuring accurate and reproducible phase continuity of the output frequency signal. It also introduces an automatic adaptation of the frame acquisition rate in frame transfer mode, based on the actual speed of the cassette unit. By this method the dynamic of the exposure signal is reduced, and a better optimization of the signal response of the x-ray detector is achieved.
Abstract:
A dental x-ray film viewing device includes a film reader having a digital video camera and an image display screen connected to the video camera for displaying an enlarged digital image of the x-ray film using signals transmitted directly from the video camera. The film reader includes a film illumination station that has a back-lighted film seat. The film seat includes a translucent plate and a non-transparent film anchoring wafer having an opening complimentary to the x-ray film for seating the x-ray film, and blocking light in an area surrounding the x-ray film. The film reader has a video camera having lens thereof focusing on the film window, and the lens has a distortion at the full field less than 3%. The device provides a substantially enlarged high resolution and high contrast digital image as an accurate representation of the original x-ray film, without digital processing by a computer.
Abstract:
In an image reading apparatus using a solid state image pickup element, a smear amount and the total received light amount at whole image taking region of the CCD linear sensor when a light source is turned on without film, are measured and calculated.Using a ratio of the total received light amount when a light source is turned on without film to the one at the time of image reading, a smear correction data of each line is calculated for correction processing.
Abstract:
A device for reading out X-ray information stored in a phosphor plate for simplified and solid guiding and/or holding of phosphor plates, with at the same time a high degree of compactness, includes: a device for holding and/or conveying the phosphor plate in an orientation inclined by an inclination angle α in relation to a vertical in which the phosphor plate is flat in form; and a read-out device for reading out the flat phosphor plate inclined by the inclination angle α in relation to the vertical.
Abstract:
A device and a method for reading out information stored in a storage layer. In this connection it is possible to support the storage layer on a support surface. An emission radiation transmitted from the storage layer is received by means of a receiving device. A distance between the receiving device and the support surface can be variably adjusted.
Abstract:
A digitizer having an illuminator with a mask configured to rotate about a central axis for reducing flare from the illuminator when digitizing a data medium having a width less than an associated length of the illuminator. A page width guide of the digitizer may be operatively coupled to the mask so that movement of the page width guide automatically rotates the mask a predetermined amount. A rare gas, external electrode, cold cathode fluorescent lamp may also be utilized as an illuminator in the digitizer.
Abstract:
A drive system for a digitizing scanning apparatus of the type which scans an image, such as a light transmissive document in the nature of an x-ray or the like, and enables generation of digital signals representative of that image. The drive system is uniquely designed with three main drive rollers and a pair of idler rollers operable in combination therewith for driving the light transmissive document in such manner that there is a relatively constant drive force on the document which is independent of document thickness and which also allows for a uniform driving movement without any shatter or vibration in the document, which would otherwise distort and materially interfere with proper screening and digitizing of the document.
Abstract:
An original image data representing an image read out from an original is removed with noise of a predetermined periodic pattern, if any, and storage image data is generated. The storage image data is stored in an image memory and is subjected to an enlargement/reduction processing and output image data is generated. An image is reproduced on the basis of the output image data.
