Abstract: Systems and methods for generating representations for vector graphics are described. Embodiments are configured to obtain semantic information and geometric information for a vector graphics image. The semantic information describes individual segments of the vector graphics image, and the geometric information describes geometric relationships among the individual segments. Embodiments are additionally configured to encode the semantic information and the geometric information to obtain a vector graphics representation for the vector graphics image, and to provide a reconstructed image based on the vector graphics representation.

Abstract: A method of generating a quantitative characterization of injury presence and status of spinal cord tissue using an adaptive CNN system for use in diagnostic assessment, surgical planning, and therapeutic strategy comprises preprocessing for artifact correction of diffusion based, spinal cord MM data, training an adaptive CNN system with healthy and abnormal (injured/pathologic) spinal cord images obtained by imaging a population of healthy, typically developed spinal cord subjects and subjects with spinal cord injury, evaluating a novel, diffusion-based MM image for injury biomarkers using the adaptive CNN system, generating a three-dimensional predictive axonal damage map for quantitative characterization and visualization of the novel, diffusion-based MM image, and transmitting the sets of healthy and injured spinal cord images back to a central database for continued improvement of the adaptive CNN system training. A system for defining a predictive spinal axonal damage map is also described.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting at least one feature of interest in images captured with an imaging device includes: receiving an ordered set of images and analyzing one or more subsets of the ordered set using a local spatio-temporal processing module. The local spatio-temporal processing module determines presence of characteristics related to the feature of interest in each image of each subset of images and annotates the subset of images. The method also includes processing a set of feature vectors of the ordered set of images using a global spatio-temporal processing module to refine the determined characteristics associated with each subset of images, and calculate one or more values for each image using a timeseries analysis module, the values being representative of the feature of interest and calculated using the refined characteristics associated with each subset of images and spatio-temporal information.

Abstract: A method for morphological identification, trajectory tracking, and velocity measurement of high-concentration microbubbles, includes collecting images of a microbubble group, performing image pre-processing, segmenting overlapped pixel blocks of the image of the microbubbles, identifying the image of the microbubbles, obtaining morphological information of each of the microbubbles, obtaining an equivalent diameter of each of the microbubbles, calculating a size distribution of the microbubbles; correlating the images of the microbubbles at two adjacent instants, and obtaining a velocity field and motion trajectory of the microbubbles. The method applies to morphological identification and correlation of high-concentration microbubbles and obtains the particle size distribution and velocity field information of the microbubbles.

Abstract: The system and method described allow for real-time control over positioning of a micro-object. A movement of at least one micro-object suspended in a medium can be induced by a generation of one or more forces by electrodes proximate to the micro-object. Prior to inducing the movement, a simulation is used to develop a model describing a parameter of an interaction between each of the electrodes and the micro-object. A function describing the forces generated by an electrode and an extent of the movement induced due to the forces is generated using the model. The function is used to design closed loop policy control scheme for moving the micro-object towards a desired position. The position of the micro-object is tracked and taken into account when generating voltage patterns in the scheme.

Abstract: A morphing part to be morphed and a morphing effect are acquired. Human body contour point information is acquired by detecting a human contour point of a human sideway image. A morphing region is determined according to the human contour point information and the morphing part. The morphing region is an image region to be morphed in the human sideway image. A human orientation is determined according to the human contour point information. A morphing direction of the morphing region is determined according to the human orientation and the morphing effect. Morphing is performed along the morphing direction in the morphing region.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for image process biological samples to infer biomarker values. An image of a biological sample can be accessed. The image can be segmented into a set of patches. Edge detection performed on each patch can be used to identify one or more biological features represented by the patch. An indication of the one or more features of each patch may be used to generate one or more image level metrics. A value of a biomarker may be inferred using the one or more image level metrics. The value of the biomarker can then be output.
