Abstract:
A method for embedding information in an image includes defining a code corresponding to a unit of content where the code includes at least one character. The method includes defining a cryptographic representation for each character of the at least one character in the code. Each cryptographic representation includes a group of regularly spaced mark locations and each mark location has a mark selected from a normative mark or a native mark. A pattern of marks in the group of regularly spaced mark locations is unique to each character of the at least one character in the code. The method includes embedding the cryptographic representation for each character of the at least one character of the code into at least a portion of an image. A distance between mark locations in the image indicates an orientation of the image.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented image composition method and apparatus, wherein, after a user selects a base image from a plurality of sequential images, and specifies an area to be modified, the content of the specified area in the base image is replaced with the content of a corresponding area in the remaining images one by one, and the base image after the replacement is output for a user's previewing and determination. It is possible to improve the quality of the images sequentially captured by applying the present disclosure.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus includes: a reading device that reads a recording file on which a plurality of groups of information of character strings are stored in advance; a displaying device that displays any one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; a selecting device that selects one desired group of information of character strings from the plurality of groups of the information of character strings; and a recording device that records shooting completion information that indicates shooting corresponding to the one desired group of the information of character string has been completed on the recording file, when shooting is performed in a state where the one desired group of the information of character string is selected, wherein when one group of the plurality of groups of the information of character strings is selected and displayed, based on the shooting completion information, the displaying device displays the selected one group of the information of character strings, and a display of completed shooting information that indicates an image corresponding to the selected one group of the information of character strings has been shot together.
Abstract:
An apparatus including an acquisition unit configured to acquire at least one image group including at least one image; a creating unit configured to create a plurality of layout candidates, by selecting at least one image from an image group acquired by the acquisition unit, and arranging the at least one selected image; an evaluation unit configured to evaluate the layout candidates created by the creating unit; a deciding unit configured to decide a presentation order of a plurality of selected layout candidates, based on evaluation results from the evaluation unit; and a presenting unit configured to present layout candidates in the presentation order decided by the deciding unit; wherein the deciding unit decides the presentation order so that the presentation order is different from an order of evaluation values from the evaluation unit, based on the evaluation results of the evaluation unit.
Abstract:
A method including initiating video functionality of an optical image capture device, using the video functionality to capture a plurality of still images at video speed, saving the plurality of still images as a cached timeline from which a user may select a desired still image, and providing a user interface on a display screen to allow the user to select a desired still image.
Abstract:
Techniques for automated imaging of customizable products are disclosed. In one embodiment, survey photographic images of a customizable product having one or more markers affixed upon the customizable product are received. Camera positions relative to the customizable product are automatically determined based on the plurality of survey photographic images. Associations between the determined camera positions and customizable attributes of the customizable product are stored. Non-survey photographic images of the same customizable product without at least some of the one or more markers are obtained. Based on determining that a particular non-survey photographic image is from a camera position that is near a particular determined camera position relative to the customizable product, and based on a particular association between the particular determined camera position and the particular customizable attribute, first data representing the particular non-survey photographic image is stored in association with second data identifying the particular customizable attribute.
Abstract:
A portable telephone is provided with a camera module (13) for outputting a captured image as image information, a memory (105) for storing the image information, a face registration unit (504) for holding information relating to a face image, a face extraction unit (501), a face parameter extraction unit (502), and a matching determination unit (505) which serve as the configuration for detecting the face image held in the face registration unit (504) from the captured image, and an image-capturing control unit (506) for executing control processing for image capturing. The image-capturing control unit (506) stores the image information in the memory (105) on the basis of the fact that after the face image held in the face registration unit (504) is detected, the face image becomes undetected, and the face image is then detected again.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for tracking documents. The documents are tracked by simultaneously monitoring each document's electronic processing status and physical location. Determinations are made whether specific combinations of electronic processing states and physical locations are valid and whether specific movements of documents are permitted. Invalid combinations or movements are reported to a reporting station. The preparation of batches of documents prior to scanning may be monitored and operator metrics related to the batch prep process may be tracked. Exception documents rejected during document processing may be monitored to enable retrieval of such documents.
Abstract:
An apparatus for communicating content includes an image capturing module that captures a rendering of at least a portion of a first still image. The first still image includes a shot from a sequence of images of a video. The first still image includes an embedded cryptographic representation of a code. The code corresponds to the sequence of still images comprising the video. The apparatus includes a decoding module that decodes the embedded cryptographic representation of the code to identify the code, a content retrieval module that retrieves the sequence of still images of the video corresponding to the code, and a display module that displays the sequence of still images of the video. A first displayed shot of the video includes the first still image and a remainder of the video includes a remaining series of images from the sequence of images of the video displayed in chronological order.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus which searches for a plurality of image files shot in succession from among a plurality of files, comprises a search unit which searches for the image files based on file attributes; an obtaining unit which obtains associated information added to each of the found image files; a determination unit which determines whether continuity exists between a plurality of image files having the same attribute based on the associated information; and a setting unit which sets the plurality of image files determined to have continuity as belonging to the same group, wherein the associated information added to each image file includes identification information indicating a file of an image shot after that file, and identification information indicating a file of an image shot before that file.
