    摘要: The housing (5, 6) of the regulator contains a medium-pressure chamber (10) to which gas is supplied from the cylinder when a self-closing cylinder valve (2) is open and which communicates with the regulator outlet (14) through a further valve (b 13), and a low-pressure chamber (23) in open communication with the outlet. The medium-pressure chamber (10) has a diaphragm wall (15) with a spindle (16) for controlling the cylinder valve (2). The low-pressure chamber (23) has a diaphragm wall (22) for controlling the further valve (13) through a connecting rod (20) carried by the diaphragm wall and coacting at its upper end with a manual selector (21) and at its lower end with the valve opener spindle (16). By means of the selector the connecting rod may be locked in a raised position in which the cylinder valve (2) is closed.The connecting rod (20) is associated with a lockable spring mechanism (27) which is unlocked in response to a predetermined overpressure in the low-pressure chamber and which then moves the connecting rod to its raised position. This prevents a leakage of gas in case of a ruptured diaphragm or flexible tube if the further valve (13) does not close tightly when the gas consumption has been discontinued.

    摘要: A pressure regulator has an element slidably mounted in a body. A through-bore in the element is arranged to be selectively opened and closed in response to the magnitude of a sensed pressure relative to a predetermined pressure. If such sensed pressure substantially exceeds the predetermined pressure, the element is displaced relative to the body to seat against a high pressure poppet. Such closure of the element through-bore by the high pressure poppet is thereafter maintained, even should the sensed pressure subsequently fall below the predetermined pressure, and requires a manual reset.

An independent primary treatment system and backup treatment system are disclosed, with each treatment system monitoring itself to detect malfunctions. The backup system is automatically actuated whenever the primary system malfunctions. Simultaneous malfunctions of both systems cause glassware to be rejected from the conveyor line for a predetermined period, producing a gap which pinpoints the arrival of possibly untreated ware.

    摘要: This invention relates to methods and apparatus for monitoring fluid pressure in a subsea petroleum installation or other similarly inaccessible system while isolating the well fluid from the production control system. In one particular form of the invention, a body of secondary fluid is pressure-responsively coupled to but isolated from the oil or other primary fluid of interest by a piston, which subjects the secondary fluid to the pressure existing on the primary fluid. In addition, a measuring device is connected to the secondary fluid to derive an electrical signal representation of the pressure on the secondary fluid as a correlative indication of the wellhead or other pressure actually sought to be measured. Further, the isolating device is constructed and arranged to effectively seal off the primary fluid from escape into the environment or into the production control apparatus and the pressure of the primary fluid is maintained in the event of damage to any portion of the chamber enclosing and holding the secondary fluid. It is a particular feature of this invention to provide at least a minimum pressure on the secondary fluid of a magnitude such as to effectively limit the further compression of the secondary fluid by the piston, when the piston is initially subjected to the primary pressure.

    摘要: A control valve for a fluid actuator has a slide valve mounted within a housing with an external gripping knob on one end and a piston on the other end. A spring engages the piston and continuously urges the slide valve and knob to an outer position. The knob is gripped and the slide valve is pushed inwardly for resetting the piston after the control valve has been actuated or fired to exhaust the fluid from the fluid actuator. Fluid from associated high and low pressure pilot valves holds the slide valve and piston in an inner position against the bias of the spring during normal operation of the fluid system.

The valve closure member in the valve body moves between an open and closed position in response to longitudinal movement of a tubular member. The tubular member has an open bore for alignment with the bore of the well tubing to provide straight through flow through the safety valve. In addition, the tubular member has a plurality of telescoping sections and releasable and resettable locking means normally securing the plurality of sections together. A predetermined high tubing pressure or a predetermined low tubing pressure acting on the tubular member causes the valve to close.

    摘要: A shut-off valve in a fluid line closes by spring pressure and incorporates a control chamber wherein pressurized control fluid acting on a piston opens the valve in opposition to the spring pressure. A control system for the shut-off valve comprises a 3-way actuator pilot of the present invention in cooperation with a monitor pilot. The actuator pilot has a valve spool and four ports, namely, a supply port connected to a source of pressurized control fluid, a pilot port connected to the monitor pilot, a control port connected to the control cylinder of the shut-off valve, and an exhaust port for venting the control chamber of the shut-off valve. When the control system is in service and the monitor pilot senses an undue change in the pressure in the fluid line, the monitor pilot vents the actuator pilot to shift the valve spool therein to cut off the control fluid from the control port and simultaneously to place the control port in communication with the exhaust port to cause the shut-off valve to close.
