摘要: A method and system for controlling the temperature in a furnace such as a continuous feed controlled atmosphere furnace includes an upstream thermocouple in a first area of the furnace, a second thermocouple in a second area of the furnace, and a heater control system. A sensed temperature from the upstream thermocouple is used to generate a control signal for a heater associated with the first area of the furnace. The sensed temperature from the first area of the furnace is further used to modify a set point that is compared to a sensed temperature from the second thermocouple. A control signal for a heater associated with the second area of the furnace is generated based upon the comparison of the modified set point to the sensed temperature from the second thermocouple.

摘要: A spider web clearing device including an inverted U-shaped clamp having a right side, a left side, a top side, a continuous exterior surface, a continuous interior surface, a lining continuously disposed on the interior surface, and an adjustment knob selectively threadably engageable within an aperture medially disposed through the clamp right side from the exterior surface to the lining. A vertically disposed flexible base unit has a top end and a bottom end, with the bottom end medially mounted to the top side of the clamp. An inverted and elongated triangular attachment has a horizontally disposed linear top edge and a bottom apex. The bottom apex is attached to the top end of the base unit. The clamp is removably attachable to a front rack of an all-terrain vehicle, and the adjustment knob is selectively securable to the front rack of an all-terrain vehicle.

摘要: An alpine touring heel unit is provided which comprises a base for mounting the heel unit and an upper portion with a heel connector. The upper portion is slidably engageable with the base for movement by a user into a downhill position and a touring position spaced rearwardly from the downhill position for disconnection of the heel connector. Complete movement in at least one direction between the downhill and touring positions may be actuated by a single motion by the user. Also provided is a heel unit movable between downhill and touring positions which comprises a heel support pivotally coupled to the heel unit. Also provided is a heel unit comprising a post and a body with a heel connector, the body being coaxially mounted on the post and rotatable between opposing lateral release positions and further containing a biasing device mounted outside of the body. Also provided are kits comprising a heel unit of this invention and a toe unit which functions independently from the heel unit.

摘要: An apparatus for attaching a climbing skin to a ski or snowboard is provided as are kits and climbing skins joined to such apparatus. Included is an apparatus for attaching a climbing skin to a front portion of a ski or snowboard, the front portion including ski sides which converge toward a front end of the ski or snowboard, the apparatus including: (i) opposing first and second holders, each holder being configured to receive one of the converging ski sides; and (ii) a connector between the first and second holders which includes at least one hinge. Also included is a kit including the apparatus and a climbing skin. Also included is a climbing skin having a fastener, the fastener including a portion which is retained between layers of the skin and one or more portions which extend from the skin for attachment of the skin to a ski or snowboard.

摘要: A system and method are provided for transferring datalink-based information into an aircraft flight management system. When a datalink message is received in an aircraft, it is parsed into individual information elements. The operational impact of the received datalink message on the aircraft is determined from the individual information elements. A method of supplying pilot feedback regarding the received datalink message is determined from the determined operational impact. The pilot feedback regarding the received datalink message is supplied using the determined method. At least selected portions of the individual information elements are selectively transferred into the aircraft flight management system (FMS).
