    摘要： An automated solid pharmaceutical product packaging machine includes a plurality of temporary storage members for receiving a plurality of solid pharmaceutical products in a plurality of cavities. The use of the temporary storage cavities enables the machine to process several prescriptions simultaneously. Advantageously, at least one of the temporary storage members is capable of being automatically displaced in a vertical direction in order to increase the capacity of the overall filling system for processing a greater number of solid pharmaceutical products while minimizing the overall footprint of the device.

    摘要： An encapsulating machine includes a pair of offset die rolls with one die roll mounted on slides urged by an adjustable fulcrum spring toward the other die roll. An offset drive coupling between the axle of the die roll and the associated drive shaft allows independent movement of the die axle to compensate for die wear. A split gear between die roll shafts accommodates for backlash and gear wear. Precise pulley-driven timing belts and phase adjusters extend between the die roll drive and a tablet feed roll to synchronize the clocked introduction of tablets onto film of one of the die rolls for encapsulation at the co-acting nip between the die rolls. The die cavities for tablets include a step-cut to improve the sealing of films around the tablets and a circumferential rub rail on opposite edges of each die prevents excessive wear of the die cavity lands.

    摘要： A device for dispensing pills one at a time or one dose at a time includes a unit chamber fittable within/integral with the rim of a bottle. The unit chamber includes a plurality of radial projections which project inwardly to define discrete pill holding areas. The distance between adjacent radial projections is slightly larger than the width of the pill sought to be contained and dispensed by the container. As the bottle is inverted, pills will fall into the pill holding areas, one pill or dosage amount per area. A dispensing cap is rotatable relative to the unit chamber. A single pill-width window in the cap is positionable opposite the pill holding areas of the unit chamber. When a pill is meant to be dispensed, the bottle is inverted or angled downward, and a single pill in the pill holding area opposite the window falls out of the bottle.

    摘要： A method and apparatus to store and aid in the dispensing of calendar-oriented drugs is disclosed in which the apparatus comprises a package containing a plurality of pill-containing enclosures, the enclosures arranged in rows, each enclosure having a numerical indicia associated therewith corresponding to a day in a calendar month with corresponding indicia on the reverse side of the enclosure to aid in the determination of which pill enclosure to open. In this way the user can easily determine and verify that the proper enclosure has been opened. The package also provides a visual indication of calendar days for which pills have not been used by the patient and in this way provides patient compliance information to the physician prescribing such drugs. The dispensing apparatus is particularly suited to the administration of calendar-oriented prescription drugs for the treatment of menopausal symptoms.

    摘要： The present invention is a pill dispenser and organizer to provide easy access and clear organization of various pills to be consumed daily. The dispenser can hold pills in 12 compartments (4 rows of 3 columns each) or 28 compartments (4 rows of 7 columns each). In operation, a user drops pills from the top of the dispenser into the columns of the topmost row. Various embodiments of a mechanism on the side of each row (except the bottommost row) allows the user to transfer the pills from a column in a higher row to a column in a lower row. A set of mechanisms allow the user to remove the pills from the bottommost row, one column at a time. The present invention can be rectangular (the compartments lined in rows and columns) or circular in shape (the compartments extending radially from the center).
