摘要： An apparatus for the division-true, intermittent feed of a sheet of indeterminate length has a sheet supply roll; a table for receiving the sheet from the supply roll; a sheet tensioning device disposed between the supply roll and the table; an advancing device for advancing the sheet in each operational cycle through a forward feed stroke that is greater than the divisional distance defined by spaced markings on the sheet; a cutting device for cyclically severing a length from the sheet subsequent to the forward feed stroke; a reversing device for retracting the sheet in each operational cycle through a centering stroke subsequent to the forward feed stroke. The reversing device includes a force-exerting arrangement--constituted solely by the tensioning device--for imparting to the sheet a force for executing the centering stroke, a sensor head cooperating with the moving sheet for responding to the presence or absence of the sheet markings; a solenoid assembly having a solenoid and being connected with the sensor head for changing the state of energization of the solenoid as a function of the response of the sensor head to the sheet markings and an armature cooperating with the solenoid and the sheet for selectively immobilizing or releasing the sheet as a function of the state of energization of the solenoid.

摘要： A roll sheet feeding device comprising a sheet feed roller for feeding a roll sheet, and a stopping means for stopping said sheet feed roller at least one predetermined position, said means being provided in a midway of a passage through which a driving force is to be transmitted to said sheet feed roller, a diameter and an amount of rotation of said sheet feed roller is so determined that said sheet is fed for a predetermined length until said roller is stopped at a predetermined position after said sheet feed roller starts rotating from a predetermined position, and said stopping means being put into operation immediately before said sheet feed roller completes said amount of rotation, and said stopping means being interrupted said operation thereof at the time that said sheet feed roller completes said amount of rotation, whereby said sheet is cut by a predetermined length. This roll sheet feeding device has a simple construction and has little or no variation in length of cut sheet, even at a high sheet feeding speed. Two or more sheet lengths can be selected by selecting the diameter and the amount of rotation of the sheet feed roller in this roll sheet feeding device.

摘要： A highly accurate and reliable indexing apparatus for progressively indexing a band-shaped work such as a breaker ply of a preset length using steel cords in high accuracy. The indexing apparatus does not use any electric converter but uses a control mechanism. The apparatus includes starting point determining means for determining the starting point of the work loaded to a rotary drum. Further inclusive is end point determining means for determining the end point of the work loaded to and delivered from the rotary drum. Rotation interrupting means is interposed between the rotary drum and an electric motor for interrupting the transmission of the rotations of the spindle by the motor to the rotary drum. Further inclusive is indexing means for suitably indexing the work loaded to and delivered from the rotary drum. Further inclusive is idle rotation preventive means for preventing the rotary drum from its idle rotations.

摘要： A mechanism for feeding a record material different distances during a printing operation, the distances being determined by the type of information that is printed on the record material.
