    摘要: The mechanism comprising: a ring body; a plurality of extending/retracting means which are separately provided at the ring body at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of the ring body; an arc-shaped retaining body which is provided at each of the plurality of the extending/retracting means and which can retain a bead with a filler; and driving means which applies driving force to the extending/retracting means and synchronously operates the extending/retracting means so as to move and extend/retract the retaining body in the radial direction of the ring body, the extending/retracting means further including: a pair of swing links which are separately disposed in the radial direction of the ring body, and the base end portions of the swing links being rotatably connected to the ring body; and a connecting link which is rotatably connected to each of the distal end portions of the pair of swing links, and the retaining body being provided at the inner end portion of the connecting link wherein, when the extending/retracting means is driven by the driving means and the extending line of the connecting link practically intersects the central axis of the ring body, all of the plurality of the retaining bodies are positioned on the same circle which centers around the central axis of the ring body.

The tire building drum used for manufacture of an unvulcanized tire is expanded or reduced in diameter in at least a part of the outer periphery by displacing a plurality of extensible/contractible segments sequentially arranged in the drum peripheral direction. Furthermore, the tire building drum is provided with a pair of segment displacing means which expand/contract the plurality of segments, and the pair of segment displacing means are alternately connected to each of the segments in the drum peripheral direction. Each of the connected segments is displaced, respectively, by the pair of segment displacing means.

The indexing apparatus does not use any electric converter but uses a control mechanism. The apparatus includes starting point determining means for determining the starting point of the work loaded to a rotary drum. Further inclusive is end point determining means for determining the end point of the work loaded to and delivered from the rotary drum. Rotation interrupting means is interposed between the rotary drum and an electric motor for interrupting the transmission of the rotations of the spindle by the motor to the rotary drum. Further inclusive is indexing means for suitably indexing the work loaded to and delivered from the rotary drum. Further inclusive is idle rotation preventive means for preventing the rotary drum from its idle rotations.

    摘要: In forming a green tire by arranging a plurality of carcass cords on a support member and disposing bead cores, the carcass cords are precisely and accurately disposed at predetermined positions. A plurality of carcass cords (C) are arranged over the entire circumference of a core (21), and the ends thereof are attached to the end holding means (30) so that the ends are held at positions distant from each other axially outward of the core (21) in a stretched state between the core (21) and themselves. Bead cores (60) are moved from the outside of the carcass cords (C) toward bead molding portions (24) of the core (21), are brought into contact with the carcass cords (C) held at the ends, and are pressed against the core (21). This pressing force presses the carcass cords (C) in the traveling direction of the bead cores (60), displaces them toward the core (21) in a stretched state, sequentially disposes the carcass cords (C) on the side surfaces of the core (21), and disposes the bead cores (60) on the bead molding portions (24) with the carcass cords (C) therebetween.

    摘要: To effectively restrict occurrence of radially extending grooves in tire sidewall portions, turn-up portions (N) of a tire structure member (K) are turned up around the beads (B) by synchronously moving turn-up arms (66) axially inward by a moving means (75), with turn-up rollers (70) maintained in contact with the turn-up portion (N), and simultaneously, by synchronously swinging the turn-up arms (66) radially outward by a swinging means (76). The contact pressure of the turn-up rollers (70) applied to the turn-up portion (N) can thus be easily adjusted to an optimum value, with the result that impressions (grooves) produced in the outer surface of the turn-up portion (N) (which becomes part of the tire sidewall portion after being turned up) can be kept as shallow as possible.

    摘要: An apparatus for forming a cylindrical member includes a forming drum having a cylindrical unit formed with a slit extending in an axial direction of the cylindrical unit and around which a belt-shaped member is wound wherein a slight clearance between both ends of the belt-shaped member are aligned with the slit of the cylindrical unit. The cylindrical unit of the forming drum is composed of a plurality of arcuate segments radially movable and having suction devices on their outer circumferences for holding the belt-shaped member by suction. The cylindrical unit includes clearance regulating members capable of penetrating into tghe clearance of the belt-shaped member, a first joining unit arranged in the forming drum aligned with the slit, and a second joining unit arranged on an outer side of the forming drum and movable toward and away from the first joining unit. When the first and second joining units embracing the belt-shaped member are pushed toward each other, the both ends of the belt-shaped member wound around the forming drum are pulled together and butt joined.

The both ends of the cord (C) cut to a given length are held by the finger chucks (10A), (10B), and the cord (C) is affixed from a tread molding portion of the core (21) to the direction of the bead molding portion along the meridian while a tension is applied in the longitudinal direction.
