    摘要: With a method for operating a work station of a spinning machine and/or a winding machine, which has a spinning device (1) for producing a thread (2) or a head for delivering a thread (2) along with a winding device (6) for producing a package (7) on a sleeve (18), the winding device (6) features a swivel-mounted coil holder (8) with a coil plate (9) for receiving the sleeve (18) and for catching the thread (2), a powered winding roller (11) for rotating the sleeve (18) and/or the coil (7) along with a thread traversing device, and the work station is equipped with a first suction nozzle (5) that is directed towards the coil circumference and also with a second suction nozzle (12) that is arranged on the side of the coil plate (9) turned away from the package (7) and is directed essentially counter to the first suction nozzle (5) and is spaced apart from it. The thread (2) is arranged for attachment on an empty sleeve (18) in the two suction nozzles (5, 12), and is stretched between in particular by means of negative pressure in at least the second suction nozzle (12). Subsequently, the thread (2) stretched between the two suction nozzles (5, 12) is captured by a catching device, in order to catch the thread (2) and subsequently wind it onto the sleeve (18). With a corresponding work station of a spinning machine and/or a winding machine, the two suction nozzles (5, 12) are arranged at each other in such a manner that the thread (2) may be arranged for the attachment to an empty sleeve (18) in the two suction nozzles (5, 12) and may be stretched between the two suction nozzles (5, 12) by means of negative pressure in at least the second suction nozzle (12) in such a manner that the stretched thread (2) can be captured between the two suction nozzles (5, 12) by a catching device, in order to catch the thread (2) and subsequently wind it onto the sleeve (18).

    摘要: An apparatus for propelling a plurality of coil clad hoses simultaneously includes a plurality of modules. Each module includes a primary driven bull gear. A follower bull gear is rotatably fastened to a follower axle extending parallel to the drive axle and the follower bull gear meshes with the primary bull gear. A plurality of secondary bull gear/sprocket modules are fastened to each of the axles, each of the modules having a secondary bull gear having teeth extending to a first outer diameter and a sprocket gear having teeth extending a distance less than the first outer diameter. The secondary bull gear teeth of modules on the drive axle mesh with corresponding secondary bull gear teeth of modules on the follower axle to define between adjacent modules an opening width for receiving and passing therebetween a coil clad portion of a high pressure hose.

    摘要: An oil containment boom recovery apparatus and method is disclosed. The apparatus is comprised of a frame that supports an axle with a pair of vehicle rim and tire combinations mounted in a side by side relationship on the axle at a desired spacing. A motor bracket to support a motor to rotate the axle, and thus the rim and tire combinations is provided. To recover a containment boom, a user will grab and lift an end segment of a boom and place it between the rim and tire combinations that are mounted on the axle. When the axle is turned by the motor, the boom will be gripped by and between the rotating tires as the tires and axle turn.

    摘要: A self-actuating tension head for a strapping machine includes a body defining a strap path, a drive wheel, a tension wheel a fixed distance from the drive wheel and a pinch wheel. The strap path extends between the tension and pinch wheels. A first link operably connects the drive and tension wheels and defines a first pivot arm that is pivotable about the drive wheel axis of rotation. A second link operably connects the tension and pinch wheels and defines a second pivot arm that is pivotable about the pinch wheel axis and movable along the second pivot arm to move the tension wheel into and out of engagement with the pinch wheel. The first and second pivot arms define an energizing angle therebetween that decreases as the tension wheel is moved into engagement with the pinch wheel and increases as the tension wheel is moved out of engagement with the pinch wheel.

    摘要: An apparatus and methods for pushing conductors into conduit and other structures are disclosed. The apparatus (“pusher”) can include rollers to apply a pushing force to one or more conductors or bundles of conductors. One or more rollers can be coupled to a drive mechanism. The pusher is configured to pull conductors or bundles of conductors off of one or more spools, and push the conductors or bundles of conductors without de-bundling or sorting the conductors. The conductors can be fed through the pusher in any format including side-by-side, vertical on top of one another, twisted together, or other formats. The pusher can include a guiding device that is configured to route the conductors from the pusher to a conduit through which the conductors are being pushed or pulled.
