Abstract:
This invention relates to packaging compositions and methods for improvements in laundering garments and fabrics. The use of such packages with certain detergent containing composition prevents the discharge of pollutants into groundwater, improving the functioning of septic system based wastewater treatment or pretreating wastewater entering sewers leading to water treatment facilities. The compositions include the use of environmentally sustainable ingredients rather than synthetic or petroleum derived compounds.
Abstract:
A device in which a garment with a crinkled appearance may be stored or laundered is taught comprising a washable bag with sufficient elasticity to retain the garment in a predetermined position so that the appearance of the garment remains crinkled. So that the washable bag can he dried as well as washed, the bag is preferably made from fabric that resists melting at temperatures conventionally experienced during the clothes drying process. The bag further has snag-free surface and at least one opening to receive the garment. Means for hanging may be provided so that the device can be easily stored.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to carboxyl-containing polymers having higher storage stability and improved processability in the form of powders, pellets or granules and to their use in laundry detergents and cleaners, and also in further fields of use.
Abstract:
A stain treatment apparatus uses a transparent plastic bag with a recloseable opening into which a stained garment is placed. A stain treatment compound is contained within the bag, such as within an ampoule or pouch that releases upon compression or that releases upon exposure to water added to the bag. A thermochromatic indicator assists in filling with water of an appropriate temperature. A completion indicator further assists in indicating completion of the stain treatment regimen. A plurality of stain-specific treatment assemblies may be included that are optimized for a category of stains (e.g., protein, tannin, oil, dye/ink).
Abstract:
A washing mode set by a user is changed to a washing mode having a low energy cost and washing effect corresponding to the washing effect of the user-set washing mode, and a washing operation is performed in the changed washing mode. Details of the washing mode change and energy cost change according thereto are displayed on a display such that a user confirms them and determines whether or not to select a washing mode having lower energy cost. Upon completion of the washing operation, an energy cost reduction result is displayed on the display such that the user can directly confirm energy reduction effect, thereby remarkably improving the reliability of the washing machine.
Abstract:
This invention relates to cleaning compositions comprising organic catalysts having enhanced enzyme compatibility and processes for making and using such cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a control method of a washing machine which minimizes damage to laundry to be washed. The control method includes executing a washing cycle to wash laundry to be washed by supplying wash water, dissolving detergent in wash water and washing the laundry, executing a rinsing cycle to rinse the laundry by draining wash water, spin-drying the laundry, and rinsing the laundry, and executing a spin-drying cycle to spin-dry the laundry by draining wash water and spin-drying the laundry, wherein the dissolving of the detergent is carried out at a water level lower than a predetermined reference water level.
Abstract:
A method of operating a washing machine to detect unbalanced loads has been developed. The method includes operating a motor to rotate a tub holding a load at a first rotational rate that is below a threshold rotational rate, identifying a mass of the load, operating the motor to rotate the tub at a second rotational rate that is above the threshold rotational rate, identifying a power applied to the motor to continue rotation of the tub at the second rotational rate, obtaining an out of balance mass value from a memory with reference to the power applied to the motor, second rotational rate, and identified mass, identifying a maximum rate for the tub with reference to the out of balance mass value, and operating the motor to rotate the tub at a rate that is less than or equal to the maximum rate.
Abstract:
The instant disclosure relates to compositions comprising selected polyglycerol esters and a treatment and/or care agent. The disclosed compositions may be useful in fabric care compositions, for example, detergents, fabric softening compositions and the like. Methods of making and using compositions comprising polyglycerol esters and a treatment and/or care agent are also disclosed.
