Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel fuel additives obtainable by reacting carboxylic acids and alkanol amines under specific conditions. Said additives show an improved performance in fuels, like gasoline. The invention also relates to methods of preparing the same; additive packages containing said additives; and methods of improving the storage stability of additive packages comprising a detergent additive in an organic solvent.

Abstract:
The use of imidazolium salts (I) where R1 and R3 are each independently an organic radical having 1 to 3000 carbon atoms, R2, R4 and R5 are each independently hydrogen or an organic radical having 1 to 3000 carbon atoms, X is an anion and n is the number 1, 2 or 3 as additives for fuels, especially as detergent additives for diesel fuels, as wax antisettling additives for middle distillate fuels and as lubricity improvers, and for improving the use properties of mineral and synthetic nonaqueous industrial fluids.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a process of producing compounds, which are useful as bleach boosters, as well as to the compounds, which are obtainable using said process, and to their use.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of reducing the inhalation toxicity of functional fluids by incorporating into a functional fluid an effective amount of copolymer which is obtainable by copolymerizing etheylene oxide, propylene oxide and/or butylenes oxide with an initiator monool or diol, said copolymer having a degree of unsaturation of less than about 0.01 meq/g.
