The control circuit may be configured to determine one or more operating parameters of the lighting device during a present cycle of the drive circuit based on a feedback signal indicative of a peak magnitude of the load current conducted through the light source. The control circuit may be able to adjust an average magnitude of the load current conducted through the light source so as to adjust an intensity of the light source towards a target intensity based on the operating parameters.

摘要: A pixel array may be illuminated with backlight illumination from a backlight. The backlight may include a two-dimensional array of light-emitting diodes, with each light-emitting diode being placed in a respective cell. Different light-emitting diodes may have unique brightness magnitudes based on the content of the given display frame. Driver integrated circuits may control one or more associated light-emitting diodes to have a desired brightness level. The driver integrated circuits may be formed in an active area of the backlight. The driver integrated circuits may be arranged in groups that are daisy chained together. A digital signal (that includes information such as addressing information) may be propagated through the group of driver integrated circuits. To manage thermal performance of the backlight, the backlight may include a thermally conductive layer and/or a heat sink structure. To increase the efficiency of the backlight, the backlight may include one or more reflective layers.

摘要: A magnified observation apparatus includes an illuminator, a feature quantity calculator, and an illumination controller. The illumination controller selectively performs first and second sequences. In the first sequence, the illuminator is operated in the first lighting pattern, and a display is operated to display a live image of the observation object that is irradiated with the first lighting pattern by a display controller. In the second sequence, the illuminator is operated in the second lighting pattern as at least one of the different illumination directions that is selected based on the feature quantities of the image data, which are calculated correspondingly to the different illumination directions by the feature quantity calculator, and the display is operated to display by the display controller an image of the observation object that is captured when the observation object is irradiated with the second lighting pattern.
