摘要： A frozen dessert such as ice cream that simulates the shape and color of french fried potatoes. The dessert is produced in elongate sections that have a small cross sectional area. Each section is coated on its exterior surfaces with an edible coating that serves to enhance the flavor of the dessert and to act as an insulating barrier. The coating permits a consumer to handle the individual sections with their fingers to enable consuming the dessert. The color of the coating simulates the color of french fried potatoes.

摘要： A molding apparatus for a patterned shaped article includes a retainer having a plurality of retaining portions for retaining particles, a supply tank for charging particles into the retainer, a remover for removing the particles from some of the retaining portions of the retainer, and another supply tank for charging particles of a different kind into the retaining portions from which the particles were removed. The apparatus produces a patterned shaped article by conducting at least one cycle of operation in which particles are charged into the retainer, the charged particles are removed from some of the retaining portions of the retainer and particles of a different kind are charged into the retaining portions from which the particles were removed, and the particles retained are released by the retainer to form a course of prescribed thickness on a base surface.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for dosing a pattern of food material onto an object e.g. a tray or other food material continuously moved. The apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a dosing assembly comprising a substantially cylindrical tube element having a plurality of circumferential openings defining the pattern and being mounted rotatably; and a hollow core element with at least one supply inlet and at least one discharge orifice, the core element being positioned substantially in the tube element with the discharge orifice facing downwardly, so that when the tube element is rotated about its longitudinal axis the openings are in turn aligned with and brought adjacent to the discharge orifice allowing food material introduced into the core element to be discharged through the opening created. The apparatus further comprises a supplying device for the supply of the food material to the core element and supply controlling device for controlling said supply, drive motor for rotating the tube element about its longitudinal axis, and control device for controlling the rotation of the tube element so that the pattern is correctly dosed onto the moved object.

摘要： An apparatus for coating a foodstuff with a particulate material has an endless meshed conveyor belt which is trained about a hollowed roller which has a longitudinally extending wall having apertures therethrough and about which the belt travels from a lower return run to an upper forward run. A baffle is positioned beneath at least a portion of the lower return run of the belt and is arced from the lower return belt run towards the upper forward belt run. A rotatable shaft from which radial wings protrude is positioned within the hollowed roller interior. Meshes of the belt, the apertures of the roller, and the wings are configured and positioned and the wings protrude from the shaft for a length sufficient so that, in operation, upon rotation of the roller and entrainment of the belt and rotation of the shaft and wings, meshes of the belt align with apertures of the roller, and wings align with the aligned roller apertures and belt meshes for at least a portion of a region of the roller about which the belt is trained and extend through the aligned roller apertures and belt meshes towards the baffle.

摘要： A dispensing device for automatically dispensing measured amounts of particulate material which includes supply means for supplying a quantity of the particulate material and a chute for receiving the particulate material from the supply means. A reciprocating pusher means is positioned in the chute for controlling the amount of particulate material dispensed from the supply means and for discharging the dispense particulate material from the chute. A distribution hopper receives the particulate material from the chute and discharges it to a reciprocating measuring plate having a plurality of removable measuring inserts therein whereby the particulate material is received in cavities in the inserts. As the measuring plate is moved forwardly, the particulate material passes through a control plate having a plurality of slots therein and is deposited in a plurality of mask hoppers for ultimate dispensing. When the dispensing device is used in combination with a conveyor means carrying articles to be coated with the particulate material, the particulate material is then dispensed from the mask hoppers onto the articles to be coated. A vertically movable plate may be utilized for pressing the particulate material into the articles.

摘要： Apparatus for producing frozen confections includes a plurality of metering pumps which equally divide a flow of semi-solid confectionary material into a like plurality of flows and delivers such flows to a like plurality of forming heads. The forming heads are reciprocated along a generally diagonal axis relative a conveyor during formation of confectionary products and in the opposite direction upon completion of formulation. The speed of translation in one direction is preferably distinct from the speed in the other direction. If desired, such flows may be combined with other unidirectionally flowing material to form a layered product. A cutting wire severs the flows of combined confection material into a desired length product in timed relation to the reciprocation of the forming heads. The individual products are received on a moving conveyor which transports them to the next operating station. Here, edible particulate material is dispensed onto the upper surface of such confections in timed relation as they each pass under the respective plurality of measuring and dispensing chutes.

摘要： A production apparatus comprises a step-wise driven conveyor adapted to receive articles to be subjected to different operations. Along the conveyor operative devices are arranged for carrying out the different operations to which the articles are to be subjected. By such doubling of the operative device or devices having long operation periods, an increased capacity of the production apparatus is achieved.
