摘要: Pulp fiber containing little ash is effectively recovered from a used sanitary product containing the pulp fiber and a polymer absorbent. The method according to the present invention comprises: a step for treating the used sanitary product with an ozone-containing gas and thus decomposing and removing at least a portion of the polymer absorbent in the used sanitary product; and a step for stirring the used sanitary product, that has been treated with the ozone-containing gas, in water or an aqueous solution containing an antiseptic and thus decomposing the used sanitary product into constituents. If required, the method may further comprise a step for separating the pulp fiber from the decomposition product obtained by the decomposition step.

摘要: Provided is a method for processing electronic and electrical device component scrap, which can increase an amount of electronic and electrical device component scrap processed in a smelting step and efficiently recover valuable metals. The method for processing electronic and electrical device component scrap includes: a step 1 of removing powdery materials and film-shaped component scrap from the electronic and electrical device component scrap; a step 2 of concentrating synthetic resins and substrates from the electronic and electrical device component scrap from which the powdery materials and film-shaped component scrap have been removed; and a step 3 of concentrating the substrates containing valuable metals from a concentrate obtained in the step 2.

摘要: Solid waste that includes a mixture of wet organic material and dry organic material can be are separated using mechanical separation to produce a wet organic stream enriched in wet organics and a dry organic stream enriched in dry organics. The separated wet organic stream and dry organic stream are separately converted to renewable or recyclable products using different conversion techniques particularly suited for the separated wet and dry organic streams.

摘要: Biological waste such as food, organic or other biologically-derived waste is converted into shelf-stable and health-safe invertebrate feed. The method for converting includes pre-treating waste by fragmenting, reducing microbial contaminants, optionally amending with components that optimize fermentation, inoculating with microorganisms and mixing. Fermentation takes place in a bioreactor and produces fermentation leachate and solid fermentate. In the post-treatment steps, the solid fermentate is separated from the fermentation leachate. The solid fermentate is ground, dewatered and milled. The solid fermentate can be used as an invertebrate feed with or without further processing.

摘要: A weight-measurement system for inclusion or use with a waste container includes scale devices in communication with a remote computer via a communications module. The scale devices can be provided by load cells for example load-pin load cells used as axles for wheels mounted to a base frame supporting the waste container so that the wheeled base frame serves as a scale platform for the waste container. The remote computer can be programmed to receive from the load cells, via the communications module, weight data representing the total weight of the waste container and its waste contents, then deduct the known weight of the waste container when empty, to determine the actual weight of the waste contained in the waste container. And the computer can be programmed for providing a notification if a preset waste weight limit is met or neared and automatically scheduling emptying by a waste-collection vehicle.

摘要: A separation device includes a first shredding unit, a first separation unit, a second shredding unit, and a second separation unit. The first shredding unit shreds a processing target containing a first material and a second material. The first separation unit rotates a first tubular portion in a state in which the processing target shredded by the first shredding unit is accommodated therein, thereby separating the second material passing through first holes from the processing target. The second shredding unit shreds the processing target from which the second material passing through the first holes is separated by the first separation unit. The second separation unit rotates a second tubular portion in a state in which the processing target shredded by the second shredding unit is accommodated therein, thereby separating the second material passing through second holes from the processing target.
