摘要: The present invention provides an aqueous ink for plate-based printing which is excellent in transfer properties and substrate adhesion properties even against a low-liquid absorbing printing medium, and a plate-based printing method using the aqueous ink. The present invention relates to [1] an aqueous ink for plate-based printing which contains pigment-containing crosslinked water-insoluble polymer particles A, pigment-free water-insoluble polymer particles B, an organic amine compound, not less than 1% by mass and not more than 30% by mass of a water-soluble organic solvent having a boiling point of not lower than 100° C. and not higher than 260° C., and water, and [2] a plate-based printing method including the step of printing characters or images on a low-liquid absorbing printing medium using the aforementioned aqueous ink.

摘要: The present invention provides solvent-based high opacity inks and coatings. The high opacity inks and coatings comprise one or more binders, TiO2 pigment, polymeric void hollowsphere particles, and one or more organic solvents. The inks and coatings may also include mica-based pigments and aluminum pigments. The high opacity inks and coatings of the invention are suitable for use on packaging wherein a high opacity ink or coating is needed to, for example, hide undesired visual effects, or to protect the packaged goods.

摘要: An image system can comprise a sheet of clear thermoplastic material formed to define an interior space configured for disposal of an image or a three-dimensional object. The sheet can comprise a substrate upon which an image can be directly printed or otherwise attached. The image system can comprise two or more panes that meet at a vertex along a corner or are oriented at an angle relative to one another. The vertex can be formed using a tool in combination with selective heating and cooling of the thermoplastic material. The image can extend across at least two of the panes. The image system can comprise a mount configured to deter theft or tampering. Connectors can be utilized to connect two or more image systems to one another.

摘要: Described herein is a printing ink or coating composition that includes: (a) one or more elastomeric polyurethane resins with amine functionality having a glass transition temperature of about −45° C. to about −70° C.; (b) one or more acrylic resins based on a methacrylate/styrene co-polymer with a glass transition temperature of about 45° C. to about 110° C.; (c) one or more nitrocellulose binders; (d) one or more solvents; and (e) optionally, one or more waxes and/or one or more colorants. The inks and coating compositions are well suited for printing onto shrink sleeve label substrates, such as by flexographic and gravure printing. The inks and coatings provide exceptional printability and resistance to chemicals, to softening, to re-wetting, and to set-off.

摘要: Described herein is a process for preparing a flexible printed material. The process may comprise providing a flexible print substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the print substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing an ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the print substrate; and depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed ink composition disposed on the primer such that the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition is crosslinked and the primer resin of the primer is crosslinked.
