摘要： This invention relates to hot melt adhesive compositions which include a highly unsaturated hydrocarbon rubber, about 5 to about 100 parts by weight of a neutralized sulfonated elastomeric polymer per 100 parts by weight of the highly unsaturated hydrocarbon rubber, wherein the neutralized sulfonated elastomeric polymer has about 5 to about 50 meq. of neutralized sulfonate groups per 100 grams of the neutralized sulfonated elastomeric polymer, and about 25 to about 200 parts by weight of a hydrocarbon resin of a petroleum or coal tar distillate, aliphatic dienes and mono- and di-olefins, cyclic olefins of 5 or 6 carbon atoms and hydrogenated polycyclics per 100 parts by weight of the highly unsaturated hydrocarbon rubber.

摘要： This invention relates to hot melt adhesive compositions which include an amine terminated polyalkylene oxide neutralized sulfonated thermoplastic polymer wherein the neutralized sulfonated thermoplastic polymer has about 5 to about 250 meq. of neutralized sulfonate groups per 100 grams of the neutralized sulfonated thermoplastic polymer, and about 25 to about 200 parts by weight of a hydrocarbon resin of a petroleum or coal tar distillate, having about 5 to 6 carbon atoms, the hydrocarbon resin being composed of aliphatic dienes and monoolefins per 100 parts by weight of the neutralized sulfonated thermoplastic resin.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for forming a polymeric solution or gel having a viscosity of at least about 50,000 cps which includes the steps of dissolving an amine terminated polyalkylene oxide neutralized sulfonated polymer in a solvent to form a polymeric solution, a concentration of the amine terminated polyalkylene oxide neutralized sulfonated polymer in the solution being about 0.1 to about 20 wt. %, a viscosity of the solution being less than about 20,000 cps; and adding about 1 to about 500 vol. % water to the polymeric solution having a viscosity less than about 20,000 cps, the water being immiscible with the solvent and the polymeric solution, the viscosity of said polymeric solution increasing rapidly upon the addition of said water from less than 20,000 cps to greater than 50,000 cps.
