摘要: A fluid transfer system for use with a valve tree at a well, the valve tree having a wellhead axis, may comprise a header having a header flow axis and a coupler connected to the valve tree and the header and providing fluid communication between the valve tree and the header, the coupler having a coupler flow axis. The sum of the direction changes for a fluid flowing from the header into the valve tree may be less than 225°. The coupler may include a coupler inlet, which may be at substantially the same elevation as the header flow axis. The coupler may be connected to the header such that the coupler flow axis intersects the header flow axis or such that the coupler axis passes between the header axis and the surface of the earth. An angle between the coupler flow axis and the wellhead axis may be acute.

摘要: Disclosed is a method and system for fluid flow optimization within a wellbore for gas-lift operations and control of slug flows within the wellbore by utilizing a plurality of electronically controlled valves coupled to a tubing string. Selective actuation of the valves includes incremental opening or closing of an individual valve between a fully open, fully closed, or partial opening of a particular valve. Pressure measurements inside and outside of the tubing string are measured in real-time near the valve to help maintain the desired pressure distribution within the wellbore and to measure and control a pressure differential at a selected valve. Actuation of the valves may be electronically controlled at a remote location by electronic command signals or may be performed automatically by the downhole valves with or without input by a remote system.

摘要: A production tubing is disposed in a wellbore. Hydrocarbons entrapped in a subterranean zone enter the wellbore. Multiple valves are disposed in the production tubing at respective multiple tubing locations. The multiple valves divide the production tubing into multiple stages. A presence of hydrocarbons in a first stage terminating at a first valve is determined and gas is injected into the first stage causing the hydrocarbons in the first stage to flow uphole through the first valve into a second stage uphole of the first stage. It is determined that the second stage is filled with the hydrocarbons and injection of the gas into the first stage is ceased. Multiple side chambers are disposed in the respective multiple stages. Determining the presence of hydrocarbons in the first stage incudes detecting a fluidic level of the hydrocarbons inside the first side chamber.

摘要: A system may include a control system disposed on a well surface, a casing disposed in a wellbore, a first electrical wiring coupled to the control system and the casing within a first section of the wellbore, and a second electrical wiring coupled to various flow control devices in a second section of the wellbore. The first section of the wellbore may be disposed at a first predetermined direction that is different than a second predetermined direction of the second section of the wellbore. The system may further include an electrical connector coupled to the first electrical wiring and the second electrical wiring. The electrical connector may include a mechanical receiver that couples with the first electrical wiring, and a stinger assembly coupled with the second electrical wiring and that connects to the mechanical receiver.

摘要: A well system may include a tubing string positioned downhole in a wellbore defining an annulus between the tubing string and a wellbore. An annular safety valve may be positioned at the surface of the wellbore for controlling a passage of gas through the annular safety valve into the annulus. The annular safety valve may include an inductive coupler that is coupled to a power source at the surface via a power line for powering the annular safety valve.

摘要: A rotating joint apparatus includes a first section, a second section, and an interface between the first section and the second section. A bearing at the interface is configured such that the first section is rotatable relative to the second section. A main flow passage extends through the first section and the second section. A signal conductor is accessible, by a first connector on an exterior surface of the first section and, and by a second connector on an exterior surface of the second section. The signal conductor includes a signal transmission assembly at the interface.

摘要: A system and a method for reduction or elimination of environmentally harmful or “greenhouse” gases in situations in which gaseous hydrocarbons are flared or vented from an oil and gas well are disclosed. The system configures to inject a chemically reactive, or dispersive, or reactive and dispersive atomized mist into a gas flow line leading to a flare stack. The mist reacts with the gas in the flow line to convert methane to hydrogen and carbon monoxide and to reduce other harmful gases, facilitating a clean-burning, compact flare of blue color due to the presence of primarily hydrogen, some carbon monoxide, and a small amount of residual methane. The hydrogen and carbon monoxide may be captured and stored before reaching the ignition point at the top of the flare stack.

摘要: A valve device having a valve with first connection elements for mounting the valve in a port of a wellhead, a spool unit having a through-channel, second connection elements arranged in the through-channel, and a flange, the flange configured for sealingly mounting the spool unit to the wellhead, aligning the through-channel with the port, and a plug comprising third connection elements configured for sealingly and removably engaging the second connection elements and attach the plug in the through-channel. A method for removing, replacing or arranging a valve located in a port of a wellhead is also provided.
