    摘要: The invention relates to a machine for descaling cells (3) of a cellular runoff body (2) used in an air-water exchanger, characterized in that it comprises at least one tool (6, 7) having an active tip (6a, 7a) and mounted on a frame (1) so as to be mobile between two positions in one direction common to all of the tools (6, 7) supported by the frame (1), the active tip (6a, 7a) of said tool being supported by the end of a rod (13) of a cylinder (11), the body (12) of which is mounted so as to be mobile relative to the frame (1) along the axis thereof, a piston (23) rigidly connected to the rod (13) and defining, in the body, a first chamber (26) which is constantly connected to a source of pressurized fluid and to a second chamber (27) through which the rod (13) passes, is in communication with the first chamber (26) as long as the rod (13) is at least partially retracted into the cylinder body (12) and insulated from the latter, and is connected to the exhaust when the rod (13) is in an end extension position outside the body (12).

    摘要: The device for heating liquid generates steam, receives a fluid in liquid form at its inlet, and ejects the fluid heated up or in gaseous form at its outlet. The device includes a heater positioned inside a sleeve having a longitudinal axis. There is a scraper that fits onto the heater to scrape it the heater in case of movement along the longitudinal axis. A stopper fits snugly between the heater and the sleeve in order to stopper the passage. The scraper, the stopper, and a spring are configured so that an increase in pressure causes the scraper and the stopper to move along the longitudinal axis so that the stopper is shifted to a point where space between the heater and the sleeve allows fluid to pass, and a reduction in pressure causes a shift in the opposite direction by the spring.

    摘要: A method and apparatus are described for cleaning the inside of a heat exchanger tube while the tube is in operation and for simultaneously enhancing the heat transfer rate across the tube wall. The method consists of positioning a rod containing a tube cleaner inside of the heat exchanger tube and moving the rod in a back and forth motion during operation of the heat exchanger tube. The tube cleaner is designed to scrape the inside wall of the heat exchanger tube and to create turbulence in the fluid near the tube wall thereby improving the heat transfer rate across the tube wall.

    摘要: A casing has a plurality of upright panel-type compartments disposed in spaced relation for allowing flue gases and smoke to circulate therebetween. A blower circulates room air through the compartments and back into the room. A cross shaft is mounted in the casing adjacent the top thereof and extends across the spaces between the compartments. Levers are integrated with the cross shaft and support chains in suspended relation between the compartments. The shaft has a projecting handle which when operated is used to oscillate the chains to knock off soot and creosote from the exterior surfaces of walls of the compartments.

    摘要: A cooler for mixtures of crystals and crystallizing liquid in the production of sugar and related products comprises a bundle of vertical pipes for the passage of such a mixture from a bottom chamber to a top chamber. The vertical pipes are surrounded by a cooling medium, and in the interior of the pipes plungers are provided which have a somewhat smaller diameter than the inner wall of the pipes so as to form a slot-like passage along the inner wall of each pipe. The plungers are moved up and down through the pipes. The cooler is especially adapted for promoting crystallization by a rapid drop of temperature.
