A method and apparatus for performing traffic steering in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE), which is connected to both a master evolved NodeB (MeNB) and a secondary eNB (SeNB) in dual connectivity, receives an indication which indicates whether traffic steering of bearers belonging to a specific bearer type is allowed or not, and performs traffic steering of bearers when traffic steering of bearers belonging to the specific bearer type is allowed.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for routing traffic in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits information on the routing of the traffic to a network, and routes the traffic to at least one of 3rd generation partnership protocol (3GPP) long-term evolution (LTE) or wireless local area network (WLAN), according to the information on routing of the traffic. The information on the routing of the traffic may be a ratio of an amount of the traffic to be served by the 3GPP LTE and an amount of the traffic to be served by the WLAN, or a preferred WLAN throughput.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for handling radio access network (RAN) assistance information in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) discards first broadcast RAN assistance information when a radio link failure (RLF) occurs, and applies second broadcast RAN assistance information after a specific time. That is, upon RLF, until when received broadcast RAN assistance information is not applied is defined.

A method and apparatus for performing traffic steering from 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) to wireless local area network (WLAN) in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives parameters for evaluating traffic steering from 3GPP to a specific WLAN, and attempts to acquire attributes which correspond to the parameters and are configured for evaluating traffic steering from 3GPP to the specific WLAN. If at least one of the attributes is not acquired for the specific WLAN, the UE evaluates traffic steering from 3GPP to other WLAN excluding the specific WLAN.
Abstract:
Provided are a method for reselecting a cell by a terminal and a terminal using the method. According to the method, region information is received from a first system using a first radio access technology (RAT), and a cell of a second system using a second RAT is selected. The region information informs of a second region of the second system that overlaps a first region in which roaming of the terminal is not allowed in the first system.

A paging transmission method and an apparatus for the same in a wireless communication system are provided. Specifically, a method for transmitting paging by a eNodeB (eNB) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method may include receiving a paging message including paging count and a coverage enhancement (CE) level value from a mobility management entity (MME) and in case of receiving the paging message from the MME, transmitting paging information to a user equipment (UE) through a paging control channel (PCCH), wherein the CE level value is a CE level received from a eNB to which the UE is lastly connected.

A method and an apparatus for steering traffic in a wireless communication system are provided. User equipment (UE) within a visitor public land mobile network (VPLMN) transmits to a network, access network discovery and selection functions (ANDSF)-related information including information on at least a home ANDSF (H-ANDSF) set by a home PLMN (HPLMN) and/or a visitor ANDSF (V-ANDSF) set by the VPLMN. The UE receives, from the network, the traffic steering information generated through the network on the basis of the ANDSF-related information, and steers the traffic on the basis of the received traffic steering information.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and a wireless device for reporting proxy information in a wireless communication system. As the wireless device enters the proximity of a first target cell on a target frequency, the wireless device reports first proxy information indicating entering the proximity to a serving cell. Before the wireless device transmits proxy information indicating leaving the proximity after reporting the first proxy information, the wireless device does not report proxy information on entering the proximity of any other target cell on the target frequency.
Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is described. The UE includes a long term evolution (LTE) transceiver for receiving configuration information from a network, and a processor for detecting an in-device coexistence (IDC) condition according to the configuration information and initiating a transmission of information on the detected IDC condition to the network. The information on the detected IDC condition comprises frequency information, and the transmission is initiated after the UE has failed to resolve the detected IDC condition on its own.

Disclosed is a method for communicating carried out by a terminal in a wireless communication system supporting a multiple access network. The method comprises receiving from a first access network a report configuration of a second access network, wherein the report configuration of the second access network involves specifying information reporting criteria of the second access network, searching the second access network and discovers a second access network entity, determining whether the second access network entity satisfies the information reporting criteria of the second access network, and reporting to the first access network information on the second access network entity when the information reporting criteria of the second access network are satisfied. The report configuration of the second access network may include an entity list which includes at least one second access network entity that is allowed to process traffic of the first access network.
