摘要: Electric-photosensitive printing is accomplished with an LD providing a laser scanning beam that is modulated to affect printing, and the power output of the LED is maintained constant through negative feedback by a holding voltage provided by a capacitor having its charge determined only during a non-printing portion of the printing period wherein a plurality of sheets are printed. During the non-printing period, contact of the scanning laser beam with the electro-photosensitive material is disabled while the laser beam is maintained on so that its power may be measured and compared with a reference level to provide a feedback signal for controlling the output of the laser beam, particularly the feedback signal being provided to the holding capacitor only during the non-printing portion of the period, and the holding capacitor being isolated from the feedback signal during the printing portion of the period. As a specific embodiment, a rectangular sheet of electric-photosensitive material is replaceable wound around a drum so that its opposite ends are spaced apart to provide a seam to affect the disablement of the laser beam from contracting the electro-photosensitive material during the non-printing portion of the period, and a separate light source used to detect this seam portion to determine the non-printing portion of the period.

摘要: A light-beam scanning apparatus is disclosed in which a mirror surface of a metal having a characteristic that the reflectance of the mirror surface increases as the incident angle of light incident on the mirror surface is larger, is used as a reflecting surface, the optical thickness nd of a transparent protective film formed on the reflecting surface is made substantially equal to m.lambda./2 (where n, d, m and .lambda. indicate the refractive index of the protective film, the thickness of the protective film, an integer, and the wavelength of the incident light, respectively), the incident light is linearly-polarized light, and the direction of vibration of the linearly-polarized light is inclined at an angle of about +40.degree. to -40.degree. to a direction perpendicular to the plane of incidence of the linearly-polarized light.

摘要: An apparatus for driving a semiconductor laser for use in a laser-beam printer, in which a laser beam from the laser is deflected so as to scan a light-sensitive drum and a light-sensitive detector placed in the vicinity of one edge of the drum, comprises a first device for determining the operation level for the laser when it scans the drum to record information thereon, a second device for determining the operation level for the laser when it scans the detector to provide a scanning start pulse signal and a controller for controlling the first and second devices so that they are alternately enabled to determine the intensity of the laser beam depending upon whether the drum or the detector is scanned, whereby the intensity of the laser beam is allowed to be adjusted in accordance with the varying light-sensitivity of the drum without fluctuating the instant of generation of the scanning start pulse signal.

摘要: An apparatus for plating an outer circumferential surface of a hollow roller of the type including a plating tank and an additional working station such as a pretreatment tank, after-treatment tank or mounting and dismounting board. The apparatus further includes a swing arm swingable between the additional working station and the plating tank and a means for automatically mounting and dismounting the roller provided on an end of the swing arm. The mounting and dismounting means includes a pair of spindles facing each other and rotatably and slidably coupled to the swing arms such that the spindles can be rotated and axially moved, a pair of charge carriers provided on the spindle for supporting the roller at both ends and liquid leakage prevention caps provided around the spindles and movable in an axially direction for engagement with and disengagement from the ends of the roller for preventing leakage of a process solution to an inside surface of the roller.
