Abstract:
A biodegradable component for a package for storing and dispensing a cosmetic product or a beauty care product is molded from compressed fibrous biomass bound by a cosmetically compatible and compostable binder.
Abstract:
A scent sampler has a sponge-like wafer infused with a fragrance liquid within a chamber between two printable panels. A window to the chamber is covered with a thin, flexible, nonresilient film which may be pressed against the wafer for spraying a mist of the fragrance liquid through an opening in the chamber to the ambient environment. The surfaces of the printable panels are covered with a liquid-impervious barrier web to prevent leakage of the fragrance liquid from, and damage to, the printed surfaces within and outside of the chamber.
Abstract:
A disposable fluid applicator having a reservoir with a first membrane and a second membrane. Said reservoir containing a fluid to be dispensed. Said first membrane of the reservoir having perforations and being covered by a permeable and/or absorbent spreader. A removable tab assembly is disposed between said spreader and said first membrane of the reservoir that seals said perforations. When the tab is pulled from between said spreader and said first membrane of the reservoir the perforations are unsealed allowing the fluid contained inside the reservoir to flow out through the perforations into and through the spreader where the fluid can be applied to a desired surface.
Abstract:
A system and method are provided for targeted and individualized delivery of multiple skin benefit agents to the skin of a user. The image of a predetermined treatment area of the user's skin is first captured by an imaging device. Selective data input from analysis tools and the end user is then analyzed by a computing device to generate a unique skin profile for the user, which is indicative of the skin conditions at the predetermined treatment area. Based on such skin profile, a printing device prints out one or more cosmetic delivery sheets that can be applied to the predetermined treatment area. Each of the cosmetic delivery sheets contains a substrate with multiple isolate, discrete regions, while at least two of the regions are imprinted with different skin benefit agents for treating different skin conditions of the predetermined treatment area according to the unique skin profile of the user.
Abstract:
A nail gel/acrylic removal system and method for manufacturing a roll of foil segments with pads around a core used for nail gel and acrylic nail removal. A pad is configured to receive and absorb a substance for dissolving at least one of nail gel and acrylic nails. A segment of foil with an affixed pad is sized to wrap around at least a portion of a finger of a human hand so that the pad with the substance for dissolving is in contact with a fingernail of the hand. First and second sets of perforations are placed along opposite edges of the foil segment, so that pairs of foil segments with the pads are joined at the first and second set of perforations. A roll is formed of the foil segments with pads around a core.
Abstract:
Nonwoven webs that are comprised of non-thermoplastic fibers, have good in-use strength, and that disperse or break apart when subjected to agitation in water are disclosed. Pre-moistened wipes comprising such webs are also disclosed. The method of making the nonwoven webs is described as providing the webs with discrete compressed sites that form lines of weakness, such that the web may fail in tension along the lines of weakness when the web is subjected to a force less than the maximum force of the uncompressed regions of the web.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to pre-moistened webs and wipes having visible compressed sites that provide the perception of a cloth-like texture. The disclosure also relates to a nonwoven web made of non-thermoplastic fibers with at least one compressed site on the surface of the web that remains visible when the web is pre-moistened.

Abstract:
Applicator for applying a lip product (5) to the lips, includes a sheet-like flexible support (1) with a mouth end portion (2) and an opposite holding end portion (3) and on at least one side thereof a lip product area (4) carrying an amount of the lip product (5) such that at least a substantial part of a lip of a user can be brought into contact with the lip product (5) by taking the support (1) between the lips at the mouth end portion (2), the support (1) being grasped manually at the holding end portion (3) in use located outside the mouth of the user, the sheet-like flexible support (1) having an increasing flexibility from the mouth end portion (2) to the holding end portion (3) at least over a part of the lip product area (4).
Abstract:
A stretchable device is provided including a base layer; a wipe layer attached to the base layer at a seam and defining an interior space between the wipe and base layers, the interior space having an internal surface; and a pouch positioned within the interior space and attached to one of the seam and the internal surface, the pouch having a top layer, a bottom layer attached to the top layer to form a cavity therebetween, an opening in one of the top and bottom layers, and a pull tab coupled to the pouch and to one of the seam and the internal surface.
