A multiprocessor system (100) for sharing memory has a memory (102), and two or more processors (104). The processors are programmed to establish (202) memory buffer pools between the processors, and for each memory buffer pool, establish (204) an array of buffer pointers that point to corresponding memory buffers. The processors are further programmed to, for each array of buffer pointers, establish (206) a consumption pointer for the processor owning the memory buffer pool, and a release pointer for another processor sharing said memory buffer pool, each pointer initially pointing to a predetermined location of the array, and adjust (208-236) the consumption and release pointers according to buffers consumed and released.

Heat assisted magnetic recording systems with composite recording films are disclosed. The magnetic recording films include superparamagnetic nanoparticles dispersed in an antiferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic matrix. The matrix provides antiferromagnetic coupling with the superparamagnetic nanoparticles, and minimizes exchange interactions between adjacent nanoparticles.
Abstract:
A method for effectively re-downloading data to a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The method uses two Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLDs) to implement control functions of Write-to-Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM) and Write-to-FPGA respectively, in conjunction with a set of connectors with a detection circuit, such that according to a detection state output by the detection circuit to one CPLD implemented with Write-to-FPGA control function, a write-to-NVRAM operation for data is determined if the detection state is logic low and conversely data is written from the NVRAM to the FPGA.

Two-photon or multi-photon chromophores having a conjugated pi-electron system with donating groups at each end of the pi-electron system providing charge-transfer properties, and having quaternary amine groups that can enhance the solubility of the chromophore in water. In a particular embodiment, the chromophore is based on a distyrylbenzene core, with donor or acceptor groups attached to the central benzene ring.

Abstract:
A slippage-preventing device for tubular jack handle consists of a jack handle stand that is provided with a movable bar extending into the inner wall of an insertion hole therein. A tubular handle has a front end, which is provided with a locking groove and an angled-rim tip. As the tubular handle is inserted into the insertion hole, the angled-rim tip at the front end firstly pushes the movable bar aside, and as the insertion is completed, the movable bar is driven back resiliently to lock the tubular handle at the locking groove thereon. The locking mechanism can be removed by pulling outward the movable bar. This mechanism facilitates the assembly and disassembly of the tubular handle and the jack handle stand.
Abstract:
An enhanced interleave type error correction method is provided in which decoding of an enhanced interleave block is done. Subsequently the decoding may be done by decoding the estimated codewords multiple times using a single error correction code. In addition, a decoder and a digital communication system for implementing the enhanced interleave type error correction method are provided.

A two-way caster bench comprises a front chair frame, a middle chair frame and a rear chair frame. The front chair frame is a U-shaped frame having a predetermined number of casters installed underneath, whose free ends are pivotally connected with the middle chair frame. The middle chair frame is composed of two U-shaped frames connected by a pair of connecting bars, with the free ends facing outwardly. One U-shaped frame is for a pivotal connection to the front chair frame, and another is for a pivotal connection to the rear chair frame. The rear chair frame is also a U-shaped frame having a predetermined number of casters installed underneath, the bottom of which is provided with a transverse bar for supporting the middle chair frame as it is folded toward the rear chair frame. Each of the chair frames is provided with a cushion.
