Abstract: A preferred filter media is provided. The media includes a fine fiber web secured to the surface of a coarse fiber support. A preferred filter media, comprising multiple layers of fine fiber media separated by coarse fiber support, is provided. Advantageous filter constructions result and are provided. Also according to the disclosure, methods for using such arrangements to filter are provided.

Abstract: A filter arrangement for securing to a filter head includes a housing having a surrounding wall defining an interior volume; an open mouth providing access to the interior volume, and an end opposite of the open mouth. Filter media is within the interior volume. A ring is secured to the wall adjacent to the mouth. An exterior of the ring has mounting threads to mount with the filter head when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. A first seal member is against the ring to create a seal with the filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the head. A seam is over an end portion of the ring to axially secure the ring to the housing. A groove is within the ring and facing outward holding a second seal member. A seal is formed between and against the seam and the second seal member.

Abstract: Air cleaner assemblies, components, features and methods of assembly and use are described. Example air cleaner assemblies are depicted and described in which a main filter cartridge sealing surface is recessed from an open end of a housing body. An access cover of the housing is configured with a portion extending inwardly to engage a main filter cartridge portion and bias it against the main filter cartridge sealing surface. In selected assemblies, the portion of the access cover extending inwardly toward the main filter cartridge, is a precleaner having flow separator tubes therein.

Abstract: According to the present disclosure, features, components and techniques useable for providing air cleaner arrangements are provided. Many of the features relate to an axial seal arrangement provided on a filter cartridge. A typical filter cartridge, for use with these features, is a filter cartridge having opposite flow ends. Example media arrangements that fit this characterization are described. Seal arrangements provided with an axial housing sealing engagement surface are shown. A seal arrangement is provided with variations therein, to advantage. These variations can be in either or both of an outer peripheral edge surface and a housing seal engagement surface. Also, air cleaner assemblies having advantageous features therein are provided. Further, air cleaner housings are described, with selected, preferred features for engagement with filter cartridges.

Abstract: Adsorbent materials are disclosed, along with filter elements containing the adsorbent materials methods of using adsorbents to remove siloxane contaminants from a gas stream. The method includes providing an adsorbent material that has been washed with an acid and passing a gas through the adsorbent material so as to reduce siloxane levels in the gas. A filter element for reducing siloxane levels in a gas includes a first adsorbent material, the first adsorbent material comprising an acid-washed adsorbent; and a second adsorbent material, the second adsorbent material comprising an acid-impregnated adsorbent.
