Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. These wireless communications may include channel estimation procedures between communicating devices such as a base station and user equipment (UE). For example, the UE may receive, from the base station, a resource grant triggering a given reference signal configuration. Based at least in part on the type of reference signal configuration, the UE (e.g., and the base station) may determine a timing offset relative to the resource grant. The UE may transmit (and the base station may receive) the reference signal based at least in part on the timing offset. In some cases, the reference signal may be transmitted in a transmission opportunity of a set of transmission opportunities, where the set of transmission opportunities is determined based at least in part on the reference signal configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive one or more retransmissions of an initial group-common transmission. The UE may receive, in accordance with a first SPS configuration, a group-common transmission of a group-common downlink shared channel, the group-common transmission being associated with a first RNTI. The UE may transmit feedback information for the group-common transmission. The UE may then receive a downlink control information (DCI) message scheduling either a group-common retransmission of the group-common downlink shared channel or a unicast retransmission of the group-common downlink shared channel. The DCI may indicate that either the group-common retransmission is associated with the first RNTI or that the unicast retransmission is associated with a second RNTI that may be different from the first RNTI.

Abstract: A base station maps code blocks of a transport block of a transport block size (TBS) for a channel using tone-level interleaving or resource element (RE)-level interleaving. Then, the base station can transmit the code blocks of the transport block of the TBS for the channel. A UE may receive the channel from the base station and de-interleave the received tones of the channel in a frequency domain to obtain the code blocks of the transport block having the TBS for the channel.

A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may identify information for transmitting to a base station of a non-terrestrial network. The UE may identify that one or more resources allocated for transmitting the information are available based at least in part on identifying the information. The one or more resources include one or more types of uplink resources including physical random access channel (PRACH) resources or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources for the random access procedure, a PUSCH for a scheduling request (SR), or a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for a configured grant, or a combination thereof. As a result, the UE may transmit, to the base station, a message over the one or more resources allocated for the information based at least in part on identifying the one or more resources.

The wireless device may then transmit the generated transport block including the voice traffic.

A base station may communicate that support for PUR is available, and may allocate PUR resources to a user equipment (UE) based on requests from the UE. The UE may receive an indication that the base station supports PUR, such as via a system information block (SIB), determine to request PUR, and transmit a PUR request message to the base station. A PUR response from the base station may indicate configuration, or reconfiguration of PUR allocation for the UE that may be used for uplink transmissions, or release of the PUR allocation.

The UE may receive, from the base station in response to the beam recovery request, a response message including an indication of a second uplink grant, an indication of a second beam for communications between the UE and the base station, or both. The UE may transmit a first uplink transmission via the second uplink grant, the second beam, or both.
