A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting one or more positive or negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) bits in response to data reception in a single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) communication system. The method includes, if the one or more ACK/NACK bits are one bit, applying a first code to a first symbol, if the acknowledgement bit is NACK, and applying a second code to the first symbol, if the acknowledgement bit is ACK; if the one or more ACK/NACK bits are two bits, applying quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation to the first symbol based on a value of the two ACK/NACK bits; if no ACK/NACK bit exists, applying the first code to the first symbol; and transmitting the first symbol and a second symbol in a slot.

A method and apparatus for transmitting, by a user equipment, a hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) are provided. The method includes identifying a transmission power of the HARQ-ACK based on transmission power control information in first downlink control information for a primary cell; identifying, for a time division duplexing (TDD), a resource for transmission of the HARQ-ACK based on transmission power control information in second downlink control information with a downlink assignment index (DAI) value greater than 1; and transmitting the HARQ-ACK to a base station based on the resource on the primary cell.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are described for transmitting acknowledgement information in response to a plurality of data TBs received on one or more downlink data channels over TTIs by a UE in a TDD communication system. A method includes generating acknowledgement information comprising four acknowledgement bits, jointly representing a state of reception results for the plurality of data TBs, if a first condition applies, wherein a number of the data TBs is greater than a number of the acknowledgement bits; generating acknowledgement information respectively representing a reception result for each data TB by a corresponding acknowledgement bit, if a second condition applies; encoding the acknowledgement bits; multiplexing the encoded acknowledgement bits with uplink data; and transmitting the multiplexed acknowledgement bits and the uplink data on an uplink data channel.

Methods and apparatuses are described for the transmission of Scheduling Assignments (SAs) from a base station to User Equipments (UEs) for data reception in the downlink or data transmission in the uplink of a communication system. A method for wireless communication includes receiving a scheduling assignment in a search space on a primary component carrier, the scheduling assignment including information indicating a component carrier on which data is transmitted; and receiving the data on the indicated component carrier. The search space for the primary component carrier is different from a search space for a secondary component carrier.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for sending and receiving a reference signal for a backhaul subframe in a wireless communication system in which a relay is present and also to a device therefor, constituted in such a way that common reference signals for a plurality of receiving devices and reference signals dedicated to separate receiving devices are allocated dispersed in a subframe, and the common reference signals and the dedicated reference signals are generated and are sent and received via the subframe. The present invention can improve the channel estimation performance for subframes in a wireless communication system. In this way, communications efficiency in wireless communication systems can be improved.

A method and apparatus are provided for transmitting a Reference Signal (RS) by a User Equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The method includes transmitting a DeModulation Reference Signal (DM RS) and information data in a sub-frame; and transmitting a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) in a last symbol in another sub-frame. The DM RS is transmitted in a middle symbol in each slot of the sub-frame, and the information data is transmitted in other symbols in each slot of the sub-frame.

A method and apparatus in which a terminal transmits channel information for at least one serving cell to a base station in a wireless communication system is provided. The method for receiving periodic channel information by a base station in a wireless communication system includes determining whether to set a Physical Uplink Shared CHannel (PUSCH) mode for allowing a terminal to periodically transmit a plurality of channel information to the base station in one sub-frame, transmitting PUSCH mode information including a result of the determination to the terminal, and receiving the plurality of channel information from the terminal using a PUSCH in the one sub-frame, according to the result of the determination.

A method includes determining a first resource for the control signal transmission from a sum of a lowest control channel element (CCE) index of the detected control channel and a first offset, if the UE is not configured to use the second sequence by higher layer signaling; determining a second resource for the control signal transmission from a sum of the lowest CCE index of the detected control channel and a second offset, if the UE is configured to use the second sequence by the higher layer signaling; and transmitting the control signal in the first resource or in the second resource.

An apparatus and a method are provided for transmitting data by a UE in a communication system using SC-FDMA. The method includes receiving resource information from a Node B; determining a hopping parameter; determining a mirroring parameter using a random sequence for a cell; determining a resource for data transmission based on the received resource information; and transmitting the data using the resource for data transmission. Hopping and mirroring are performed at a slot.
