    Abstract: An automated speed control system includes a ranging-sensor, a camera, and a controller. The ranging-sensor detects a lead-speed of a lead-vehicle traveling ahead of a host-vehicle. The camera detects an object in a field-of-view. The controller is in communication with the ranging-sensor and the camera. The controller is operable to control the host-vehicle. The controller determines a change in the lead-speed based on the ranging-sensor. The controller reduces a host-speed of the host-vehicle when the lead-speed is decreasing, no object is detected by the camera, and while a portion of the field-of-view is obscured by the lead-vehicle.

    Abstract: A modular retainer assembly is presented herein. The modular retainer assembly, includes a first retainer module defining a flexible first retaining finger and a second retainer module that is distinct from and joined to the first retaining module. The second retainer module defines a flexible second retaining finger. When the first and second retainer modules are mated together, the first retaining finger is arranged opposite the second retaining finger. The first and second retaining fingers are configured to receive and retain an elongate article, such as a wire cable, between them.

    Abstract: An illustrative example embodiment of a connector includes a terminal configured to establish an electrically conductive connection with another component and a shroud surrounding the terminal. The shroud includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall that is transverse to the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall have a sidewall dimension in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the terminal. The shroud includes a first transition between the first sidewall and the second sidewall in the form of a hollow cylindrical sector having a first angular measurement of more than 90 degrees. The transition has a transition dimension that is less than the sidewall dimension.

    Abstract: A computer implemented method for object detection includes: determining a grid, the grid comprising a plurality of grid cells; determining, for a plurality of time steps, for each grid cell, a plurality of respective radar detection data, each radar detection data indicating a plurality of radar properties; determining, for each time step, a respective radar map indicating a pre-determined radar map property in each grid cell; converting the respective radar detection data of the plurality of grid cells for the plurality of time steps to a point representation of pre-determined first dimensions; converting the radar maps for the plurality of time steps to a map representation of pre-determined second dimensions, wherein the pre-determined first dimensions and the pre-determined second dimensions are at least partially identical; concatenating the point representation and the map representation to obtain concatenated data; and carrying out object detection based on the concatenated data.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a dielectric connector housing having a cavity extending longitudinally therethrough and a shield terminal disposed within the cavity. The shield terminal has an attachment portion configured to receive a shield conductor of a coaxial cable and a connection portion configured to receive a cylindrical mating shield terminal. The connection portion defines a first cylindrical sector and a second cylindrical sector arranged opposite one another. The connection portion and the cavity cooperate to put the first and second cylindrical sectors in intimate contact with, and apply a compressive force to, the mating shield terminal when the mating shield terminal is inserted within the connection portion.

    Abstract: A device for assigning one of a plurality of predetermined classes to each pixel of an image, the device is configured to receive an image captured by a camera, the image comprising a plurality of pixels; use an encoder convolutional neural network to generate probability values for each pixel, each probability value indicating the probability that the respective pixel is associated with one of the plurality of predetermined classes; generate for each pixel a class prediction value from the probability values, the class prediction value predicting the class of the plurality of predetermined classes the respective pixel is associated with; use an edge detection algorithm to predict boundaries between objects shown in the image, the class prediction values of the pixels being used as input values of the edge detection algorithm; and assign a label of one of the plurality of predetermined classes to each pixel of the image.
