    Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method of selecting, by a first UE, a relay in a proximity service (ProSe) in a wireless communication system, the method including the steps of transmitting a UE-to-Network Relay discovery message; selecting a second UE as the UE-to-Network Relay; setting a connection for direct communication with the second UE; and transmitting a registration request message to a group communication service application server (GCS AS) through the second UE, wherein when the UE-to-Network Relay discovery message includes UE-to-UE Relay related request information, the UE-to-UE Relay related information is received from the second UE and the second UE is selected as the UE-to-UE Relay based on the UE-to-UE relay related information.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system. A method for monitoring UE reachability may include receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity, a monitoring request message for UE reachability including a maximum response time from a Home Subscriber Server, detecting, by the MME, the UE reachability if it is expected that paging is able to be transmitted to UE when extended Discontinuous Reception is applied to the UE, and sending, by the MME, a UE reachability notification to a Service Capability Exposure Function before a next paging occasion of the UE, wherein the maximum response time may indicate a time during which the UE maintains a reachable state so that downlink data is reliably delivered to the UE, and wherein an occasion when the UE reachability notification is transmitted may be determined by taking into consideration the maximum response time.

    Abstract: A method and a user equipment (UE) configured for dual priority for controlling a backoff timer are discussed. The method according to an embodiment includes transmitting a first non access stratum (NAS) request message without an access point name (APN) including a low priority indicator set to a first value to a network node; receiving a reject message for the NAS request message from the network node; initiating a session management (SM) backoff timer in response to the reject message; and transmitting a second NAS request message including the low priority indicator set to a second value to the network node while the SM backoff timer is running. The first value of the low priority indicator indicates that the UE is configured for NAS signaling low priority. The second value of the low priority indicator indicates that the UE is not configured for NAS signaling low priority.

    Abstract: One embodiment of the present specification provides a method by which a user equipment (UE) reselects a network node in charge of a control plane. The method can comprise the steps of: retransmitting, by the UE, a non-access stratum (NAS) request message if the UE transmitted the NAS request message to a network node in charge of the control plane through a base station but has not received a response message; transmitting, by the UE, an access stratum (AS) message, which includes an indication showing no response from the network node, to the base station if the retransmission of the NAS request message has repeated by a preset value or more; and reselecting another network node in charge of the control plane instead of the network node in a disabled state if information indicating that the network node is in the disabled state is received from the base station.
